To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 18, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and nineteenth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against our state has begun.

During the past day, the enemy carried out 4 missile strikes and 41 air raids, conducted 57 attacks with multiple rocket launchers on the positions of our troops and civilian infrastructure in populated areas. There are casualties among civilians.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes across the territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy is suffering heavy losses but continues to concentrate its main efforts on conducting offensive operations along the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol axes. It actively uses operational-tactical and army aviation. Over the course of the day, more than 70 attacks by the enemy were repelled in the specified front sectors. The epicenter of combat operations remains Bakhmut and Mariupol.

On the Volynian, Polesian, Northern, and Slobozhansky directions, signs of forming offensive groupings by the enemy have not been detected. A comprehensive check of the combat readiness of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus is ongoing.

During the past day, the enemy carried out shelling of populated areas in Sosnyvka, Popivka, and Iskriskyshchyna in Sumy Oblast, as well as populated areas in Okip, Bayrak, Vovchan'sk, Ohrymovka, and Nesterne in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Synykhivka. Enemy shelling affected Topoli, Krasnoe Pereche, Novomlyn'sk, Dvorichna, and Zapadne in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area north of Sverdlovsk. Artillery shelling affected Stehl'makhivka, Nev'ske, Bihorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Ivanivka and Sverdlovsk in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction, fighting for the city of Bakhmut continues without pause. In the areas of populated places Ivanivske and Predtekhine, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions. From enemy shelling suffered Vasyukivka, Min'kivka, Orikhovo-Vasilivka, Novomar'kovoye, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Novodmytrivka, Pleschiyevka, Shcherbinyvka and Toretsk in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Avdiivka direction, unsuccessful enemy attempts to advance were recorded in the areas of Novokalynovoye, Severnyy, and Pervomaysky in Donetsk Oblast. The occupiers shelled Keramik, Novokalynove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Tonenskoe, Netaylove, Pervomayske, and Karlivka.

On the Mariupol direction, numerous enemy attacks were repelled in the area of Mariupol. At the same time, enemy shelling affected Krasnogorivka, Pokhodnya, and Novomikhaylivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, during this day the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. Shelled populated places of Shakhtarske, Novoukrainka, Velyka Novosyolka, Neskuchoye, Zolotaya Niva, Prechistovka and Voyedar.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to conduct defensive operations. During the day carried out more than 40 shelling of populated places. Among them — Vremivka, Novopil in Donetsk Oblast; Malinovka, Chervone, Hulyaypole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhya Oblast; Nikopol on Dnipropetrovshchyna; Zolotaya Balka, Berislav, Lvovoye, Ivanivka, Mikilske, Antonivka in Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces carried out 12 strikes against areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment during the past day. Also shot down an enemy reconnaissance UAV type "Merlin".

Subunits of rocket troops and artillery inflicted damage on 2 areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment of the enemy, as well as 1 station of radio-electronic warfare of the enemy.
