President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about preparations for the next "Ramstein" meeting and the completion of a search-and-rescue operation in Slavyansk.
"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!
I started today's day with a meeting at the General Staff. Many issues.
Frontline — actions of our defense forces, what is succeeding and what we need to achieve.
Commanders of sectors "Khortytsia," "Tavria," "Odessa," "North" — Chief Zaluzhnyi — all reported on the current situation.
Separately at the General Staff — supply of ammunition for our soldiers. Today it was more detailed about this: not only supply, but also everything related to production — both by the state and private companies. There were reports from Minister Kamishina regarding strategic industries, Defense Minister Reznikov, and Commander Gulyay of Logistics Forces.
I held a meeting with Prime Minister Shmygal about the results of his trip to Canada and the United States, meetings — mainly for financial support for Ukraine from partners. The results are significant. This concerns relations with the IMF, other international institutions, bilateral relations with Canada and America.
Thank you to all our partners who consistently help!
By the way, we are already preparing for the next "Ramstein" meeting. I held preparatory meetings. And we expect substantial decisions that will correspond to prospects on the battlefield. Quite ambitious prospects that we are all striving towards. Moreover, we strive not only for ourselves, not only for Ukraine, but also for our entire anti-war coalition.
The aggressor must lose. And this is a shared responsibility with partners — to win more time for peace, i.e., be maximally active now in providing weapons and ammunition so that our joint victory can be accelerated.
I signed an order awarding state honors to our soldiers. 127 fighters of the Armed Forces… Of them, 68 posthumously.
It is very important to understand this: every time we hear that promised weapons supply is delayed, every time there are doubts about the type of weapons for Ukraine, about range or other qualitative characteristics — every time it means that Ukrainian soldiers are giving their lives so that this time… The time being spent to convince and finally ensure the delivery of necessary weapons.
I want to especially highlight today our soldiers from the 5th Independent Assault Brigade and the 80th Independent Airborne Brigade — for active and successful assault operations in Bakhmut. Thank you, 214th Rifle Battalion, for powerful strikes against the enemy near Bakhmut!
92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade — thank you for your results on Luhansk territory!
Donetsk direction… Fighters of 35th and 36th Separate Marine Brigades, 55th Separate Artillery Brigade. "Seventy-Nine" paratroopers. Soldiers of the 74th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion, 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Hanyuk… Thank you all!
In Zaporizhzhia there is something to highlight for soldiers of the 128th Independent Assault Carpathian Brigade. Well done!
Every enemy destroyed now — this is a meter of Ukrainian land freed tomorrow.
And one more thing.
Yesterday in Slavyansk, the search-and-rescue operation after Russian terrorists' strikes on residential buildings was completed. I want to highlight our people who together with colleagues on site did everything possible… Despite the threat of repeated strikes, despite all difficulties they did everything possible to save as many lives as possible.
Thank you Sergeant Yaroslav Plytskyy, Senior Sergeant Viktor Hergel, Lieutenant Bogdan Havrilov and Deputy Colonel Mykhailo Zagnytuk, everyone who participated in this operation.
Thank you to each and every one in the large collective of Ukraine's State Emergency Service working for people!
Glory to our soldiers!
Eternal memory to all whose lives were taken by Russian terror.
Glory to Ukraine!"
