The wards of Mykola Kostenko and Oleksandr Korniychuk in Brazil played a friendly match against the Portugal national team. Ukrainians took the lead as early as the 1st minute thanks to Andriy Pashko's efforts. However, just two minutes later, the blue-and-yellow team fell behind — 1:2. Nevertheless, almost immediately Oleksandr Poslavsky restored parity — 2:2.

In the second 12-minute period, the Portuguese were slightly stronger. Our opponents scored twice more than our national team did, with only Yaroslav Zavorotnyi scoring for Ukraine.

The final period proceeded in much the same spirit. This time, however, we conceded three times, while scoring just one goal. Dmitro Voytenko was on target.

Thus, the Ukrainian national team lost to Portugal with a score of 4:7.
