President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about Russia's crime during a Christian holiday and preparing for a new active week in diplomatic work.

"Ukrainians! Ukrainian women!

Tonight, the Russian army shelled Zaporizhzhia. With S-300 missiles. 

The impact was on a residential building. Three people were inside. A man, a woman, and a child — a girl named Irina, who would have turned 11 this year. She died. The man also died. My condolences... The woman is in critical condition at the hospital, receiving help.

This is how the state-terrorist conducts Palm Sunday. This is how Russia isolates itself even more from the world and humanity.

Every bright Christian holiday teaches us that we may not know — how, but we must be certain that evil will lose. We have to believe. And we do believe. We must bring about the defeat of evil. And we are bringing it closer. And the world is with us. Month by month, week by week, support grows, and more people join those who support our courage and faith in life.

I thank everyone around the world who stands with Ukraine now, who acts alongside us.

I thank all of our people who are dealing with the aftermath of Russian shelling and helping those affected by terror. In Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv region, Chernihiv region, Sumy region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Kherson region, on Donbas.

I thank every rescuer and doctor, all medical sisters and brothers, every sapper, every police officer. All local government representatives in cities and villages who help people. And volunteers.

And of course, I want to thank the soldiers! Everyone who is fighting now. Everyone who holds back Russian evil. Everyone who destroys occupiers — on the battlefield and behind enemy lines. 

We are preparing for an active new week, especially in our international work — to strengthen defense, to support our soldiers.

And I want to particularly highlight the achievements of this past week. The marines of the 35th and 36th separate brigades, fighters of the 55th artillery brigade. Fighting in Donetsk region. Successfully. Thank you, boys!

For active offensive actions in Bakhmut and on the Bakhmut front — I thank soldiers of the assault company of the 783rd regiment of the State Special Transport Service, soldiers of the 5th separate assault brigade and the 80th separate airborne assault brigade. Well done, boys!

The Sloviansk front — the 30th separate mechanized brigade. Also active offensive actions. Thank you, boys!

For steadfastness and determination, I thank soldiers of the 66th separate mechanized brigade and the 95th airborne assault brigade — Lysychansk front.
Thank you to reconnaissance units fighting in the hottest spots on the frontline!

Border guards of the Luhansk and Kramatorsk battalions, mobilized units from Lviv, Donetsk, Mogilev-Podolsky, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovyi battalions. Thank you, boys!
