To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 07.04.2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and eighth day of large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against our state has begun.

During the past day, the enemy carried out five rocket and 18 air strikes, conducted 53 artillery attacks on the positions of our troops and civilian infrastructure in populated areas.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes remains high across all of Ukraine's territory.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on conducting offensive actions along the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol axes — over 40 attacks by the enemy were repelled during the past day.

On the Volyn, Polesie, Sever, and Slobozhanskyi axes, the operational situation remains unchanged. The Russian Federation continues to use airspace and territory of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time, signs of forming offensive groupings by the enemy have not been detected. The enemy still maintains a military presence in border areas with Ukraine in Kursk and Belgorod regions. During the past day, the enemy carried out shelling of populated areas of Leonivka, Gremyach, Novovasylivka in Chernihiv region; Progress, Zaruvtse, Rivne, Volvino in Sumy region, as well as Veterinarnoe, Neskuchnoe, Ogireve, Tikhie, Zybine, Bokhove, Budarki, Vilkhuvatka, Chugunivka, Zarubinka, Bogoliuvka, Starytsia, Kolodyazne in Kharkiv region.

On the Kupyansk axis, enemy shelling affected Topolye, Figolivka, Novomlynskyi, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Liman First, Krokhmalne, Berestevo in Kharkiv region and Novoselyvskoye in Luhansk region.

On the Lyman axis, during the past day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions around populated areas of Kremenna and Spirene. Artillery shelling affected Nveshche, Dibrova, Bihorivka in Luhansk region and Terny, Spirene, and Rozdolovka — Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions, attempting to take full control of the city of Bakhmut. Intense fighting is ongoing. During the past day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions around populated areas of Orilovo-Vasylivka, Hryhoriyevka (Bogdanovka), and White Mountain. Units of the Defense Forces repelled 16 attacks by the enemy on this front line. Among those affected by enemy shelling were Vasylkivka, Orilovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Novodmytrivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Dilievka and Shumi in Donetsk region.

On the Avdiivka and Mariupol axes, the enemy conducted offensive actions around populated areas of Novokalynove, Severne, Pervomaisk, and Mariinka in Donetsk region. No success was achieved. The most intense fighting is taking place near Mariinka, where 19 enemy attacks were repelled. At the same time, enemy shelling affected Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Netaylove, Pervomaisk, Mariinka and Victory.

On the Shakhtarskyi axis, during the day the enemy did not conduct offensive actions. Carried out shelling of populated areas of Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Velika Novosilka in Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes, the enemy continues to strengthen fortification positions and defensive lines. Carried out shelling of over 20 populated areas. Among them — Vremivka in Donetsk region; Hulyaypole, Zaliznychny, Hulyaypilskyi, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilyvka, Novoandriyivka and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Antonivka and Kherson.

In the populated areas of Dzhankoy district temporarily occupied Crimea, Russian occupiers are conscripting local residents for construction of fortifications. It is known that primarily men are being conscripted, most of whom — drug addicts and alcoholics. The occupiers promise workers monetary compensation, but people do not receive it or only partially. Cases have been recorded where deceived people refuse to continue cooperation, after which armed occupiers forcibly make them dig trenches.

The Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out six strikes against areas of enemy personnel and military equipment concentration during the past day. In addition, our defenders destroyed three UAVs of different types ("Orlan-10", Supercam, and "Lancet-3"), as well as three guided air bombs.

Subunits of rocket forces and artillery simultaneously struck two areas of enemy personnel concentration, two ammunition depots, and an enemy radio-electronic warfare station.
