"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!
A brief report on today's events.
Participated in the Global Summit for Democracy at President Biden's invitation, this is one of the most representative platforms for defending our system – a system of free nations.
It was already my second such summit. Overall, we do not have many opportunities in the world to speak directly about democracy and defend freedom in all its aspects. And it's good that now we have an opportunity to unite efforts to find more energy and prospects for democracy.
Ukraine's position, as always, is very specific and highly practical. Almost every leader's speech at the summit included supportive words towards our country and people. I thank each leader and each nation that feels the same way we do – that values of freedom are worth the strongest possible defense.
Thanks to Ukrainian courage, leadership from the United States, President Biden, Congress, and everyone who works for world consolidation, we now have the greatest unity among democratic countries in a long time. And this unity is sufficient to fight for freedom.
But to win against tyranny, more unity is needed. I am confident that the democratic world can achieve it. Can win.
Democracy needs victory! As soon as possible. And all of us together – Ukrainians, all Europeans, our American allies, our friends on every continent – in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Australia – will do everything to bring the victory closer. Victory for Ukraine. Victory for freedom. Victory for an international order based on rules.
Spoke today with Giorgia Meloni, head of the Italian government. Thanked her for her principled stance, decisiveness, and true European strength felt in her words and actions defending freedom.
We discussed both bilateral relations and the overall situation regarding our defense against Russian aggression. I informed about the situation on the battlefield and our needs. We can be more active at the forefront within the next few months. And we will do everything to ensure that global support for our steps is maximally effective.
Bakhmut. Today there's something to thank our fighters who are battling on the Bakhmut front. They fight steadfastly and effectively.
I thank everyone who does everything to increase enemy losses! Special thanks go to soldiers of our 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kostya Gordiyenko, 77th Separate Airborne Brigade, and the glorious 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Cold Gorge". Well done, boys!
We are already preparing for events planned for the second half of this week. Held relevant meetings today. Ukraine has not lost a single week since the start of full-scale war – we continuously strengthen our country's capabilities, fortify our defense and security forces, and bolster confidence in our path to victory.
Plus, today another step was taken towards strengthening our state's spiritual independence and protecting our society from old and cynical Moscow religious manipulations.
Ukraine is the territory of the greatest religious freedom in our part of Europe. Yes – since 1991. It will always be so.
I thank everyone who cares about Ukraine and its citizens!
I thank everyone who supports Ukraine's struggle for independence!
Glory to our soldiers!
Glory to Ukraine!»
