The Ukrainian youth team continues their training camp as part of preparations for the final stage of Euro 2023 (U-21), during which they have scheduled two friendlies.
The first match, against Denmark, was played on March 24 in Belek, Turkey, and ended with a last-minute victory for the blue-and-yellow team — 3:2. Today, on March 27, our team will face Italy's youth national team at the "Oreste Granillo" stadium in Reggio di Calabria. The match starts at 9 PM Kyiv time and will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) and regional channels of Suspilne.
The day after the emotional match against Denmark, the Ukrainian team moved south to the Italian peninsula. On Sunday, they conducted a training session. Fortunately, all players are healthy. It is likely that head coach Rostyslav Rotan, who will fly in from London today to join our delegation, will rely on those players who were less involved or did not play at all against the Scandinavians for the second friendly match. It's possible that the Italians, who also played a friendly match with Serbia on Friday and won 2:0, might follow a similar approach.
Ukrainian Youth Team Roster
Goalkeepers: Ruslan Nescheret («Dynamo» Kyiv), Kiril Fesyun («Kolos» Kovalivka), Yakiy Kinareikin («Dnipro-1» Dnipropetrovsk).
Defenders: Rostyslav Lyakh, Vitaliy Roman, Roman Dyidik (all — «Rukh» Lviv), Maxim Taloverov (LASK, Austria), Kristian Bilavar (AEK Larnaca, Cyprus), Anton Bol, Kostiantyn Vychcharenko (both — «Dynamo» Kyiv), Arseniy Batagov («Zorya» Luhansk), Oleksandr Drambaev («Zulte Waregem», Belgium).

Forwards: Bogdan Vyunnyk («Grazhner», Austria), Danylo Sykan («Shakhtar» Donetsk), Mykhailo Kukharevich («Hibernian», Scotland).
As a reminder, this year the Ukrainian youth team will participate in the final tournament of Euro 2023 (U-21). A total of 16 teams will take part in the event that will be held from June 21 to July 8 in Georgia and Romania. According to the draw results, which took place on October 18 last year in Bucharest, the blue-and-yellow team will play in Group B against Romania, Spain, and Croatia. The three best teams at Euro 2023 (excluding France and England) qualify for the Olympics in 2024.
