As part of preparation for the Euro-2023 (U-21) final tournament, Ukraine's youth national team played a friendly match against Denmark in Belek, Turkey.

At the beginning of the match, both teams exchanged shots on goal. Later, the Danes took control. For example, on the 17th minute, Fesiunu had to make two saves during one attack by the opponents. The blue-and-yellow team did not hold back in response — at the 21st minute, Nazarenka set up a one-on-one with Jørgensen, but Oleksandr hit the crossbar. However, just moments later, Ukraine scored — Drambeyev won possession of the ball from a free kick and passed it to Bragaru, who beautifully curled it into the far "corner."

Towards the end of the first half, the Danes pressed our team, with Fager and Kjerorg missing shots wide. At the 40th minute, the Scandinavians were awarded a penalty for a foul by Dydik in his own penalty area. However, Fager missed from the spot, hitting the crossbar, while Hansen failed to score on the rebound.

Immediately after halftime, the Danes equalized — Kviestgarden scored with a header from a right-wing cross. Subsequently, the Scandinavians had the upper hand and made several attempts at goal. However, at the 67th minute, Ocheretko, following a pass by Roman, delivered an excellent long-range shot to put Ukraine ahead again.

Soon after, Zhelezko also scored well from distance. The Ukrainians focused more on maintaining their lead but conceded another penalty, which Kjerorg converted. Near the end of the match, the Danes missed two good goal-scoring opportunities. However, the final word belonged to Ukraine — in the last seconds of stoppage time, Vyunik ran down the left flank and scored past the goalkeeper, while Sikhan put the ball into the net. 3:2.

Next, our "youth team" will travel — on March 27, blue-and-yellow will play a friendly match against Italy's team in Reggio di Calabria.
