In the final of Euro-2023 women's futsal, Ukraine lost to Spain — 1:5. "La Furia Roja" became the third consecutive European champion, while blue and yellow secured historical silver medals. In the match for third place, Portugal defeated Hungary.

Comments from the main coaches of Ukraine and Spain after the final game are available on the official UEFA website.

"We wanted to show ourselves at our best, compete against Spain with a good game, which is not easy against such a powerful team, a double-time champion. We would like to congratulate the Spanish women on their third European championship victory."

"There was no particular turning point in the match; we understood that each goal conceded affected the result and made our job slightly more difficult. To finish second is a small victory for us. We are happy with the work done, and I would like to thank my team," — said coach of Ukraine Oleg Shaytanov.

"The best way to cope with the pressure on favorites is to be yourself, and that's exactly what we did in the match against Ukraine. We knew it would be tough, and scoring an early goal was important, but we were a better team. We never lost focus, and this made all the difference.

These three titles are a just reward for fantastic work done in sports in Spain. Our league is very strong, and it reflects on the quality of our players. It's hard to write more about and be happy with this title," — said coach of Spain Claudia Pons.
