To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on March 18, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The ongoing large-scale Russian invasion is now in its three hundred eighty-eighth day.

The enemy carried out 34 air strikes, 11 of which were with the use of UAVs "Shahed-136". Ten of these UAVs were destroyed by our anti-aircraft units, but one unfortunately hit an industrial infrastructure object. Fortunately, there are no civilian casualties. The enemy also launched one missile strike and carried out 57 attacks using MLRS, one of which was on the village of Velentynsk in Kherson Oblast. Seven private homes and a local kindergarten building were damaged by fragments. Thankfully, there were no casualties here as well.

The likelihood of missile strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains quite high.

The main goal of the enemy over the past day, as before, was to attempt to break through into the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts. For this purpose, the occupiers concentrated their efforts on conducting offensive operations along the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Mariupol, and Shakhtarsk directions. Thanks to professional and coordinated actions by our defenders, more than 100 enemy attacks were repelled in these areas.

On the Volyn, Polesie, North, and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation remains unchanged. The Russian Federation continues to maintain a military presence on the territory of Belarus but without forming offensive groups. At the same time, the enemy is continuing to engineer equipment localities in border areas of Bryansk and Kursk Oblasts. During the past day, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling of 14 populated areas, including Starikove, Volfine, and Solianyky in Sumy Oblast, as well as Strilechya, Glybokoye, Starytsia, Vovchanivka, Koldyzhne, Krasnoye Perechne, Kutkivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Terneva, and Tikhie in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, over the past day, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to break through our defenses. He shelled areas of 13 populated places along the line of contact, including Veseloye, Grynykivka, Vilsheva, Khromykhmal, Berezhovo, Dibrova and Andriyivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Novoyegorivka, Nevske, Bilohirivka, Novoselyvskiy, and Chervonopopivka in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Novoselykha in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction, the enemy did not stop storming the city of Bakhmut. At the same time, our defenders repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of Klyshchivka and Ivanivske. Near the line of contact, the enemy shelled populated places such as Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasilivka, Zaliznyanske, Vasyukivka, Bakhmut, Grygoriyevka, Ivanivskoye, Ozaryanivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Predtechyne and Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Oblast. Overall, 11 populated places on the Bakhmut direction suffered from enemy shelling.

On the Avdiyivka, Mariupol, and Shakhtarsk directions, over the past day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards populated places such as Kamianka, Nevelskoie, Avdiivka, Mariinka, Severne, and Pervomaisk in Donetsk Oblast. Numerous enemy shelling affected areas of 21 populated places. Among them — Kamianka, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Krasnogorivka, Georgiyevka, Maximilianiivka, Mariinka, Vuhledar, Velika Novosyolka, Zolotaya Niva, Paraskeviivka, Tonenkye, Severne, Pervomaisk, Nevelskoie, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka, Novoukrayinka, Prechystivka, Neskuchoye and Shakhtarske in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions, over the past day, the enemy continued to defend. At the same time, he carried out intensive shelling of populated places such as Malynivka, Hulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Bilyhorod, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriyivka, Mali Shcherbaki, Kamianske, Olgivske, Chervone, Charivne, Orhyv, Novodanylivka and Stepanovka in Zaporizhzhya Oblast; Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk Oblast; Dobraya Nadyyia in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, as well as Dudchani, Kachkarivka, Veseloye, Kazatske, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Dniprovske, Berehove, Velentynsk, Kizomys, Mikhailivka, Respublikanets, Novoberezlav, Kherson, Novosyolka, Shilova Balka, Otradokamianka, Mikolaivka, Tyaginka, Sadovoye and Rozliv in Kherson Oblast. The total number of populated places that suffered from enemy shelling is almost 40.

The so-called local authorities on temporarily occupied and seized territories of Luhansk Oblast announced the start of large-scale military training involving all conscript male population of Starobilsk, Shchastya, Novoaidar, Novopoltavka, and Nizhneteploe, who have passports with "LNR" and "Russian Federation" stamps. In this way, occupiers are trying to conceal total mobilization in the aforementioned populated places.

Between the villages of Ishun and Voyenka on temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the enemy has started construction of fortification structures and trenches. Civilian population is being forcibly conscripted for unpaid work to carry out these tasks.

The Air Force of Ukraine's Defense Forces carried out six strikes against areas where occupiers are concentrated over the past day, while rocket units and artillery divisions hit two enemy personnel concentration areas and one position of their anti-aircraft equipment.

Overall, during the past day our soldiers liquidated 880 Russian invaders, destroyed five tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, eight artillery systems, two MLRS, fourteen tactical-level UAVs, three cars, and a unit of special equipment.
