Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on March 16, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred eighty-sixth day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

The Russian Federation does not abandon its intentions regarding the occupation of Ukraine, continues offensive actions without regard for losses. Main efforts the enemy concentrates on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions. During the past day, the enemy carried out more than 75 attacks on these fronts.

Receiving strong resistance from units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the Russian Federation continues to use a terror tactic against the civilian population of Ukraine, does not stop delivering strikes and shelling populated areas.

During the past day, the enemy carried out three missile attacks, including on an object of civil infrastructure in Kharkiv. Also, the enemy delivered 29 air strikes and carried out 79 shelling with multiple rocket launchers.

The likelihood of further enemy strikes across Ukraine remains high.

On the Volyn, Polesie, North and Slobozhansky directions the operational situation has not changed significantly. Formations for offensive operations have not been detected. On the territory of Belarus, preparations of units of Russian occupation forces continue. The enemy maintains a military presence in border areas. During the day, the enemy shelled the areas of the populated places Khreinivka, Timonovychi, Berilivka Chernihiv Oblast; Yelene, Starikove, Atinskye, Volfiny, Stepennoye, Kondratiivka, Pokrovka and Hrabovskykh Sumskaya Oblast as well as Lemeshchyna, Strilecha, Krasne, Starytsya, Vovchan'ske, Bochkove, Budarki, Ambarne and Kolodyazhne Kharkivskaya Oblast.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Gryanykivka, Bihorivka and Spire. Carried out artillery shelling of the areas of populated places Dvorichna, Gryanykivka, Kupiansk, Khromal'ne Kharkivskaya Oblast; Novoselyvskoye, Nevskoye, Dybrova and Bihorivka Luhanskaya Oblast as well as Kolodyazhi, Severnyy, Spire and Fedorovka Donetsk.

On the Bakhmut direction the enemy does not give up attempts to storm the city of Bakhmut. Our defenders repelled numerous attacks by the enemy in the areas of populated places Orilovo-Vasylivka and Bogdanovka. Enemy shelling was suffered by populated places near the line of contact, among them — Pryvillya, Orilovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bogdanovka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Predtechina, Oleksandr-Shulhynne, Kurdyumyvkha, Ozaryanivka, Dachnoye and Shumi Donetsk.

On the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of populated places Stebneve, Kamyanke, Avdiyivka, Severne, Netaylove, Pervomaiskoye, Nevelskoye, Marinka and Vuhledar. In the specified front sector during the past day the most attacks were recorded near Marinka — 12, all of them repelled by our defenders. Enemy shelling was suffered by areas, including Novokalynovka, Kamyanke, Lastochkino, Avdiyivka, Tonel'kove, Georgiyevka, Nevelskoye, Pobedy, Vuhledar and Velikaya Novosilka Donetsk.

On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions the enemy carries out defensive actions. Shelling was suffered by areas of populated places near the line of contact, including Olhivske, Malinivka, Hulyaypole, Charivne, Yegorivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriyivka and Kamiansk Zaporizhzhya Oblast; Marhanets — Dnipropetrovskaya; Cherniy Mayak, Tokaryvka, Antonivka, Dniprovske Khersonskaya Oblast as well as the city of Kherson.

During the past day, aviation of the Defense Forces delivered 16 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers. Our soldiers shot down an enemy Su-25 aircraft and 13 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types. Units of rocket forces and artillery in turn damaged a command post, three areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the enemy, as well as two radar stations, a radio-electronic warfare station and a surface-to-air missile complex on firing positions.

In addition, during the past day our defenders liquidated 1040 Russian occupiers,  destroyed 12 tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles and 11 artillery systems. The enemy also lost one MLRS, three anti-aircraft systems and 17 vehicles.
