Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on January 16, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The three hundred and twenty-seventh day of Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out two missile strikes and conducted over 55 attacks with multiple rocket launchers, including on civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions.

The threat of enemy aviation and missile strikes remains.

The enemy is conducting offensive actions on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka axes and suffering significant losses in manpower.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of Bilohorivka village in Luhansk region and Verkhnyokamyanske, Krasnopolevka, Spirene, Syl, Bakhmut, Klitshiyivka, Novobakhmutivka, Velyka Novosilka, Prechystivka, Krasnogorivka, Pobyeda, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Mayorisk and Mariinka in Donetsk region.

On the Volynian, Polissian, and Northern axes, no enemy offensive groupings were detected. At the same time, mortar and artillery shelling was suffered by areas of Seredyna-Buda, Pavlivka, Kondratyivka, and Popivka villages in Sumy region as well as Starytsia, Huryiv-Kozatskyi, Kozacha Lopan', Budarky, Vovchans'k, Strilecha, Krasne Pereche, Terneva, Khatnye, and Topoli in Kharkiv region.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman axes, the enemy shelled areas of 23 populated places. Among them — Dvorichna, Kotliarivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove, and Kislivka in Kharkiv region as well as Novoselyvskoye, Stehlomakhivka, Nevyske, Kuzmine, and Chervonopopyvka in Luhansk region.

On the Bakhmut axis, fire strikes were suffered by areas of more than 25 populated places. Among them are Spirene, Ozaryanyvka, Klitshiyivka, Ivan-Dar'yivka, Solvedar, Bakhmut, Druzhba, New York and Pivnichne in Donetsk region.

On the Avdiivka axis, tanks and all types of artillery shelled Georgiyivka, Veseloye, Avdiyivka, Nevel'ske, Pereymaysk, Mariinka, Vodyane, Orlovka, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.

On the Novopavlivsk axis, our positions were hit by enemy fire in areas of Ugledar, Prechystivka, and Mykils'ky Dachy in Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia axis, the enemy carried out shelling from tanks, mortars, and artillery with a full spectrum of weapons against our troops in areas of more than 24 populated places, including Mylove, Hulyaypole, Dorozhnyanka, Zaliznychne, Charyvne, Mala Tokmachka, Stepeve, Plevni, Shcherbaki, and Kachkarivka in Zaporizhzhia region.

On the Kherson axis, the enemy continues shelling populated places along the right bank of the Dnipro river. Seventeen populated places were affected, including Antonivka, Zolota Balka, Hryhorivka, Lvovoye, Sadove and Kherson.

Ukrainian aviation carried out ninety strikes against enemy concentrations and two strikes against its air defense systems over the past day.

Units of rocket troops and artillery of the Defense Forces simultaneously struck one command point, six areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment, one ammunition depot, and one means of radio-electronic warfare of the enemy.
