"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians!
I report on the day that has passed.
First — I congratulated soldiers and commanders of the Ukrainian Ground Forces on their professional holiday. Today is their day. At Mariinsky Palace, I presented state awards — Orders "Golden Star," badges "Cross for Combat Merit," and other honors.
And this was an emotional ceremony. There were relatives of heroes who gave their lives in battles against the occupiers. There were soldiers who will return to the front line. And there was a special moment when we all felt that we are united and how much we all await our victory.
Victory is inevitable.
The second important event of today — I participated in the G7 leaders summit. "Big Seven." This is already the fifth such summit this year, which Ukraine has taken part in and fully represented its position. Today we actually outlined what we need to do next year.
I thanked our partners and called on them to continue helping Ukraine in 2023 as they have done this year. It is very important that all elements of support for our country remain and not unwind. Equally important is making new steps that can play a preventive role against Russian terror.
One of the main such steps — the summit we plan to hold even this winter. A summit regarding the implementation of our peace formula. No matter what the aggressor intends — when the world is truly united, it is the world, not the aggressor, that determines how events will unfold. This is precisely what we are offering all conscientious states. All those who value the UN Charter and simply peace.
Third — representatives of our country are already working in France. The head of government, First Lady of Ukraine, and others. Key task — two conferences on reconstruction and resilience of Ukraine, regarding getting through this winter. They will take place tomorrow. And also — directing French forces — both the state and business, communities of France — towards specific projects for restoration in Ukraine. Energy infrastructure, bridges, enterprises, hospitals... So now is a crucial time in France for our country, and tomorrow I too will participate in relevant events.
And there are extremely important things.
Today three of our sappers — employees of the State Emergency Service — were killed in Donetsk Oblast while defusing. My condolences to their relatives... Two more of their colleagues are still fighting for life. This happened in Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk district. One of those territories that is most contaminated with Russian mines, booby traps, and unexploded ordnance. Since February 24 alone, employees of the State Emergency Service have removed over 300 thousand hazardous items. Explosive technicians from the National Police have removed more than 180 thousand such items. And demining is also conducted by other state agencies and the army.
And this is one of the most important directions of our communication with partners. Besides everything else, we need to gather maximum global resources to quickly overcome Russian mine terror. And I once again thank all our partners who are helping us. Thank you to all our heroic employees of the State Emergency Service, our police, and military personnel conducting demining operations. Every neutralized Russian mine, every removed shell, every discovered and neutralized booby trap — this is saved lives of our people.
Every day we add new energy to Ukraine. After each Russian strike, we restore the system as much as possible. We do everything to bring in as much equipment as possible that can compensate for rocket damage. And I thank all Ukrainian businesses, volunteers, and all our partners who are helping with this.
But we must be aware that Russia has not given up on this terror tactic of theirs. The absence of large-scale missile strikes only means that the enemy is preparing for them and can strike at any moment. Although it's clear that without electricity, we know well where to shoot and what to release, Russia still hopes for blackouts. This is their last hope...
So as long as they have missiles — and there are still some in Russia — please take seriously all warnings from the Ukrainian military command, our air forces, and air raid sirens signals. At all levels we must be prepared for any enemy intentions. And we will do everything to get through this winter.
I thank everyone who is helping Ukraine!
Thank you each and every one of you working towards our victory!
Glory to all fighting for independence!
Eternal memory to every Ukrainian whose life was taken by this war!
Glory to Ukraine!»
