The Ukrainian youth team has departed for Georgia, where from November 16 to 22 they will conduct a training camp during which they will play two friendly matches — against Israel and the hosts.

"This camp was necessary primarily to ensure that no one slips through and to track our talents. There are many of them, especially abroad. The two matches will help us find reserves; we need to think about this every minute. New players who have not yet played for the youth team abroad have a great chance to join the squad and travel to Euro.

We talked with clubs, agreed that they can legally prevent their players from joining the camp since it is not during FIFA dates. So this is only upon prior consent."

The opponents are very interesting, with their own style and game. The main thing was to play against teams that do not adhere to a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 formation but instead play with three defenders. I believe this will be a good experience for us that will help in the future," — believes head coach Ruslan Rotan.

We remind you that in our team, which Ruslan Rotan previously announced, there have been significant changes. Due to various reasons, Dydik, Drambaev, Kozik, Krisykyv, Ocheretko, Mykityshyn and Shostak will not travel to Georgia, while Bunchukov, Kulakovskiy, Mikhaylenko and Yakuba have been called up from the reserve list. In total, there are now 22 players.

On November 19, the Ukrainians will face Israel's youth team, and on the 21st — Georgia's youth team. Both matches start at Tbilisi Sea Technical Center Stadium at 3 p.m. local time (1 p.m. Kyiv time). Note that both opponents of the blue-and-yellow are also participants in Euro-2023 (U-21): Georgia as hosts, and Israel has qualified by beating Poland, Hungary (in the group stage) and Ireland (in the playoffs).
