To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on November 4, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and fifty-fourth day of heroic resistance against Russia's large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy is trying to hold onto temporarily occupied territories, concentrating efforts on restraining the actions of Defense Forces at certain points. It conducts offensive operations along the Bakhmutsky, Avdiivsky, and Novopavlovsky axes.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by Russian occupiers in the areas of Verkhnyokamyanske, Spirne, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, and Pavlivka in Donetsk Oblast.

The enemy is conducting artillery strikes on units of the Defense Forces along the line of contact, carrying out fortification works at certain points, and performing aerial reconnaissance. It continues to inflict blows on critical infrastructure and civilian housing, violating international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war.

The enemy delivered four missile strikes and 28 air attacks, carried out over 45 artillery barrages with multiple rocket launchers. As a result of these criminal actions, nearly 30 populated areas in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kherson, and other oblasts were affected.

There is still a threat of new attacks and the use of strike drones. In particular, from the territory of the republic of Belarus.

On the Volynsky and Polesky axes, there are no significant changes in the situation. The Republic of Belarus continues to support Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.

At other points, the enemy carried out artillery strikes:

On the Severnisky axis — with mortars and field artillery in the area of Volkhynne village in Sumy Oblast. The invaders also used strike drones;

On the Slobozhansky axis — with mortars, field and rocket artillery in the areas of Stelemykhivka, Beresteve, Bihorivka, Veterinarnoe, Hativshche, Chugunivka, and Udi;

On the Kupyansk and Lyman axes — with tanks and various caliber artillery in the areas of Myasozharyvka, Zvanivka, Rozdolivka, Severne, Verkhnyokamyanske, Serbyanka, Novyiehorivka, and Yamopolivka;

On the Bakhmutsky axis — with tanks and artillery of various types in the areas of Bakhmut, Andriyivka, Klyshchyvka, Ozaryanivka, Kurdyumivka, Mayoriv, Ivangrad, Sverdlovsk, Opitne, and Zelenopillya;

On the Avdiivsky axis — with tanks, mortars, field and rocket artillery in the areas of Avdiivka, Oleksandrivske, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Nevelsk, and Perevalne;

On the Novopavlovsky axis — with all types of artillery in the areas of Prechystivka, Vodyane, Pavlivka, Verymivka, and Velika Nova Sylka;

On the Zaporizhzhia axis — with mortars, field and rocket artillery in the areas of Hulyaypole, Dorozhnyanka, Novoandriyivka, Olgivske, Shcherbaki, and Mali Shcherbaki.

On the Southern Buzhsky axis, artillery strikes hit areas around more than 25 populated places along the line of contact. In addition, the enemy continued aerial reconnaissance. Drones were actively used, making up to 30 sorties.

The leadership of Primorsky Krai in the Russian Federation is forced to introduce additional security measures and strengthen police control. The authorities in Vladivostok are preparing for possible protests among local residents who express dissatisfaction with previous mobilization efforts and significant losses suffered by representatives of the region in Ukraine.

On temporarily occupied territories, occupiers continue to violate international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war. In Pisky village of Starobilsk Raion, Luhansk Oblast, representatives of so-called military administration conducted filtration measures against local residents. Nearly 30 citizens were kidnapped and taken in an unknown direction. Similar actions are being carried out in populated areas along the Oleshky — Nova Kakhovka highway in Kherson Oblast.

In addition, roads in Kherson Oblast show increased movement of cargo and passenger vehicles with looted property. Significant looting is taking place in Berislav and nearby populated areas. For example, from electricity network service enterprises, equipment and repair bases are being transported out. In Topolyvka village, Russian occupiers are using a local school and kindergarten as a “human shield”, where up to 300 enemy soldiers with their equipment are stationed.

Air forces of the Defense Forces carried out 21 strikes against the enemy over the past day. Twenty areas of weapons and military equipment concentration, as well as anti-aircraft positions of the enemy were hit. Our air defense units shot down three Shahed-136 drones.

Units of rocket forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck a command post of the enemy, four areas of troops concentration, weapons and military equipment, ammunition depot, radio-electronic reconnaissance station, mine-explosive obstacles, and other important military objects of the enemy over the day.
