The Lviv-based "Rukh" U-19 team is participating in the UEFA Youth League season 2022/2023, having become the first team from last year's Ukrainian championship.

In the initial round of the Champions Path countries, Vitaliy Ponomaryov’s wards managed to overcome Polish club "Zaglembie" — 1:0 in the first match and 0:0 in the second.

In the next stage of the tournament, "Rukh" faced Turkish "Galatasaray". After a convincing victory in Istanbul (3:1), Ukrainian players played the return match in the Polish city of Stalowa Wola. Lvivians won again — 3:1, thus advancing past the Turks on aggregate.

Thus, the youngsters from "Rukh" will participate in a knockout round where on February 7/8 next year they will play at home against one of eight teams that secured second places in their groups in the Champions Path. The draw for this stage will take place on November 8.
