In the 5th round of the UEFA Youth League group stage, Donetsk's Shakhtar U-19 team defeated their Scottish counterparts from Celtic.

After four matches, the miners had two wins and two losses. This time, Shakhtar's youngsters traveled to Scotland where they beat Celtic's youth team 1:0. The lone goal was scored by Pohorilyi in the second half, while the hosts missed a penalty kick in the 19th minute.

With three points secured, the Ukrainians guaranteed themselves second place in the group but will not catch up with Real Madrid. As such, Donetsk will participate in the knockout round where they will face one of eight Champions League country winners on February 7/8 next year.

Regarding the group stage, the orange-and-black team will host Leipzig on November 2 at their home ground.
