In the third round of the UEFA Youth League, Donetsk's Shakhtar U-19 team lost to Real Madrid's U-19 side away from home.

In previous Champions League path matches, the miners defeated Leipzig (2:0) and Celtic (2:1). Now, however, Shakhtar's youth team could not stand up to Real Madrid in their away match.

The Madrid side scored three goals in each half, while the visitors managed only one goal through an own goal by their opponents. Losing 1-6, Donetsk lost their group lead.

Shakhtar's next UEFA Youth League match will also be against Real Madrid. The home game for Shakhtar will take place in Warsaw on October 11th.
