To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on October 30, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and forty-ninth day of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy is trying to hold temporarily occupied territories, concentrating efforts on restraining defensive forces along certain axes, and does not cease advancing in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.

During the day, units of the Defensive Forces repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of the populated places Yakovlivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutskoe, Oleksandropil, Kamianka, Avdiivka, Perevalsk, Krasnogorivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka of Donetsk Oblast.

The enemy continues to shell units of the Defensive Forces along the line of contact, carries out fortification work on certain axes and conducts aerial reconnaissance. It delivers strikes against critical infrastructure and civilian housing, violating international humanitarian law, laws and customs of war.

During the past day, the enemy delivered five missile and 23 air strikes, carried out over 100 shelling with multiple rocket launchers. As a result of this criminal activity, areas around more than 45 populated places were affected. Among them — Sloviansk and Severodonetsk in Donetsk Oblast, Zaporizhzhia and Novooleksandrivka in the Kherson region.

On the Volynian and Polesian Directions there have been no significant changes. The Republic of Belarus continues to support the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukrainians. Russia continues to transfer separate units into this country's territory. Thus, on October 26, an echelon of military equipment from the RF arrived at the Brest railway station. Along with servicemen of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, so-called «cadres» are arriving. In addition, Russian soldiers were spotted in populated places between the cities of Brest and Maloryta.

The threat of missile strikes and engagement of strike UAVs from the territory of the Republic of Belarus remains.

On other axes, the enemy carried out shelling:

on the Northern Direction— with mortars and artillery in the areas of populated places Rozhkovychi, Budki, Mesienevka, Fotovizh and Myropillya of Sumy Oblast;

on the Slobozhansky Direction— with tanks, mortars, artillery in the areas of populated places Terneva, Vovchansk, Veterinarnoe, Vilkhuvatka, Hatishe, Hryhorivka, Kamianka, Figolivka, Dvorichna, Starytsia, Ohirceve, Strilecha and Chugunivka;

on the Kupyansk and Lyman Directions— with artillery of various types in the areas of populated places Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Grekivka, Zarichne, Novyegorivka, Beresteve, Nevskoie, Olhivka, Terni, Toriske and Yamopolivka;

on the Bakhmut Direction— with tanks and all types of artillery in the areas of populated places Andriyivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutskoe, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Zvanivka, Severnyi, Zelenopillya, Siversk, Solodar, Otradneve, Novy York, Vasyukivka, Serhiyanivka and Yakovlivka;

on the Avdiivka Direction— with tanks, mortars, artillery in the areas of populated places Avdiivka, Nevelske, Vesele, Vodyane, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Perevalsk and Otradneve;

on the Novopavlivsky Direction— with tanks and multiple rocket launchers in the areas of populated places Veremivka, Vuhledar, Yegorivka, Mikilske, Novoukrayinka, Pavlivka and Prechystyvka.

On the Zaporizhzhia Direction, the enemy delivered fire impact in the areas of populated places Hulyai Pole, Nova, Dorozhnyanka, Zaliznychne, Zelenyi Hai, Temriyivka, Olgivske and Chervone.

On the Southern Buzhsky Direction, fire strikes affected areas around nearly 20 populated places along the line of contact. As a result of enemy shelling with multiple rocket launchers and artillery, populated places Nikopol and Vyshtarasivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and Hryhorivka in Kherson Oblast were affected.

According to available information, during the so-called «evacuation» from correctional colony No. 90 of the city of Kherson, occupiers evacuated prisoners. The territory of this correctional facility is being used by the enemy for accommodation of personnel and military equipment.

In populated places near the city of Kherson, the enemy carries out preparations for defense. A hundred «Rosgvardians» were spotted arriving from Grozny to the village of Kalanchak.

On the territory of the city of Nova Kakhovka, Russian special services actively eavesdrop on civilian phone conversations.

In the populated place Velika Znamyanka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the enemy continues to accommodate personnel in local residents' housing.

The aviation of the Defensive Forces delivered 32 strikes against the enemy during the day. Of these, 23 were on areas of weapon and military equipment concentration, three — on platoon strongholds, as well as six — on positions of the enemy's anti-aircraft defense. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down a «Iskander-K» missile and two enemy UAVs «Orlan-10».

Units of rocket troops and artillery hit six areas of weapon and military equipment concentration, three ammunition depots, two anti-aircraft defense systems, and nine other important military targets of the enemy during the day.
