Before today's match against group 4's outsider, Haladas, Maxim Pavlenko's team was in second place in the standings. In their first game, they defeated Romania's «United Galați» (5:0), while in the second match, they lost to Portugal's «Benfica» (1:4).

To secure their place in the elite round of the Champions League, Ukrainians needed to avoid a loss today, and they managed to do so despite an unfortunate start: just two minutes into the game, Hungary's Haladas opened the score with Zoltan Drot scoring.

However, four minutes later Stanislav Mospan equalized, and on the 15th minute Oleksandr Dytsuk put Ivano-Frankivsk ahead. Early in the second half, Danilo Abakshin doubled Ukraine's lead, but Balazs Rutai prevented our team from pulling away. On the 30th minute Abakshin scored his brace, yet just 30 seconds later Mykola Mikhityuk scored an own goal, and then Kazemiro equalized the score to 4:4.

The game ended in a draw, allowing «Hurricane» to accumulate four points in group 4 and secure their place in the Champions League elite round.
