Note for attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on October 26, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and forty-fifth day of heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The enemy is trying to hold temporarily occupied territories, concentrating efforts on restraining actions of the Defense Forces at certain points, while not abandoning attempts to conduct offensive operations on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka axes.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of the populated places of Ivanograd, Bakhmut, Bakhmutskoe, Siversk, Kurdyumivka, Krasnogorovka, Novomykhailivka, Nevelske and Ternova.

The enemy is shelling the positions of our troops along the line of contact, conducting fortification reinforcement of positions at certain points, and carrying out aerial reconnaissance. In violation of international humanitarian law, laws and customs of war, continues to inflict strikes on critical infrastructure and civilian housing.

Over the past day, the enemy inflicted five missile and up to 30 air strikes, carried out over 100 shelling with multiple rocket launchers.

Enemy strikes affected areas of more than 40 populated places. Among them — the city of Dnipro and its region, Prikolotne in Kharkiv Oblast, and Velyka Oleksandrivka in Kherson Oblast.

On the Volynian and Polissian axes, there have been no significant changes. The Republic of Belarus continues to support the Russian Federation's military aggression against Ukraine. There remains a threat of missile strikes and use of attack drones on Ukrainian territory.

On other axes, the enemy carried out shelling:

on the Severian axis — with mortars and field artillery in the areas of populated places Starikove, Seredina-Buda, Basivka, Mykolaivka, Rizhivka. Also involved attack drones;

on the Slobozhansky axis — using mortars, field and rocket artillery in the areas of populated places Vylkhuvatka, Budariki, Shevchenkove, Strilecha and Dvoriche;

on the Kupyansk and Lyman axes — with tanks, mortars, field and rocket artillery in the areas of populated places Berestevo, Pereshchepene, Nevske, Bihorivka, Serhiyivka and Spirene;

on the Bakhmut axis — with tanks, mortars, field and rocket artillery in the areas of populated places Bakhmut, Bakhmutskoe, Siversk, Ivanograd, Klyschyivka, Kurdyumivka, Mayorivka and Otradne;

on the Avdiivka axis — with tanks and artillery of various types in the areas of populated places Novomykhailivka, Pervomaisk, Avdiivka, Krasnogorovka, Nevelske and Novokalynove.

On the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhia axes, the enemy carried out shelling of positions of the Defense Forces and civilian infrastructure in the areas of populated places Vremivka, Ugledar, Zaliznychne, Novopol and Poltavka.

On the South Buzhak axis, areas around more than 15 populated places along the line of contact were affected by artillery fire. For aerial reconnaissance, the enemy carried out up to 20 sorties with drones of various types.

In the Russian Federation, efforts are underway to find additional sources for replenishing combat losses. Work is being done with those released due to injuries among military personnel. They are offered to undergo retraining on accounting specialties related to less physical strain.

According to updated information, as a result of precise artillery strikes by the Defense Forces in the populated place of Novoivanivka in Luhansk Oblast, an ammunition depot and over 10 so-called «katibats» were destroyed. In the populated place of Svatove, up to 10 occupiers and about five cargo vehicles with military supplies were also destroyed.

The aviation of the Defense Forces inflicted 21 strikes over the past day. Confirmed damage to 17 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, two strongholds, as well as two positions of enemy air defense missile systems. Anti-aircraft units shot down five enemy drones.

Units of rocket forces and artillery hit a command post, two areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, a radio location station, and other important military objects of the occupiers.
