In League A, 28 teams will compete (including seven that have been promoted from League B based on the results of the second round of the season-2021/2022). They are divided into seven groups. Teams in each group play at one venue in a mini-tournament format. The fourth-placed teams will continue their season in the second round of League B.

The seeding for the second round will depend on the positions that teams secure in their respective groups during the first round. Estonia will also participate despite having an automatic qualification to the final tournament as hosts.

Teams from League B (including those relegated from League A after the second round of season-2021/2022) compete for promotion to League A in six groups. The group winners and runners-up with the best record against teams finishing first and third in their respective groups will be promoted.

As a reminder, due to Russia's full-scale aggression and martial law in Ukraine, our team was unable to participate in the second round of Euro 2022 qualification and formally took fourth place in the group. However, UEFA's Executive Committee, following Russia's disqualification, issued a decision to keep the women's national team of Ukraine in the elite division. Thus, they entered Pot 3 of League A.
