To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on October 2, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The two hundred and twenty-first day of heroic resistance by the Ukrainian nation against the Russian military invasion has begun.

The enemy continues to concentrate its efforts on attempts to occupy Donetsk Oblast, maintaining control over seized territories, as well as disrupting active operations of the Armed Forces at certain fronts. The adversary is shelling our positions along the line of contact, conducting aerial reconnaissance. It strikes civilian infrastructure and residential areas, violating international humanitarian law, laws, and customs of war. There remains a threat of enemy air and missile strikes across all of Ukraine's territory.

Over the past day, the adversary carried out four missile and sixteen air strikes, conducted more than 75 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers on military and civilian objects in Ukraine. Additionally, for strikes against infrastructure targets, the enemy uses Iranian-made Shahed-136 drones.

Over the past day, over thirty populated areas were affected by enemy strikes. Among them — Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Krasnogorivka, Mariinka, Vodyane, Trudove, Bogoyavlenska, Novoukrainka, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Illinka, Nikopol, Blagodativka, Mykolaiv, Ochakiv and Odessa.

On the Volynian and Polissian fronts, the situation has not changed significantly.

At other fronts, the enemy continued shelling with tanks, mortars, artillery:

on the Northern front — in the areas of the populated places Seredyna-Buda, Fotovizh and Budki of Sumy Oblast;

on the Slobozhanskyi front — in the areas of the populated places Vovchansk and Hatishe of Kharkiv Oblast;

on the Kramatorsk front — Grygoriyivka, Bilohorivka, Verkhnyokamyanske and Rozdolivka;

on the Avdiyivka front — Avdiyivka, Krasnogorivka, Opitne, Pervomaiskoye, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka and Vodyane.

On the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhia fronts, the enemy inflicted artillery strikes in the areas of populated places Novoukrainka, Paraskevivka, Prichystyevka, Pavlivka, Neskuchne, Shakhtrivske, Velyka Novosilka, Novoandriyivka, Zaliznychne, Hulyaypole, Hulyaipilske, Poltavka, Novopil and Veremivka.

On the South Buzhsky front, artillery strikes from tanks, mortars, and field artillery were suffered by areas near the line of contact in 28 populated places.

The enemy continues to suffer losses on Ukrainian soil as a result of effective actions by the Armed Forces. The destruction of an ammunition depot after artillery shelling on September 30th in the area of the village Chernykhivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast was confirmed and about fifty people were injured.

Partial mobilization announced by the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation continues. Since September 30, this year's military units based on temporarily occupied territory in Crimea have been brought to full combat readiness and are conducting measures for dispersing subunits. It is known that a motorized rifle division is being formed on the peninsula from demobilized male population of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Krasnodar Krai, and the Republic of Adygea.

The arrival at permanent station of about two thousand demobilized individuals to the 810th separate marine infantry brigade based in Sevastopol was noted.

In the city of Budennovsk, Stavropol Krai, up to five thousand people arrived at the 205th separate motor rifle brigade of the 49th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District through mobilization. It is known that about three thousand are stationed in permanent station points and the rest — in a tent camp on the Nikolay-Alexander range. Training with combat preparation has begun with this manpower.

Over the day, subunits of the Armed Forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of populated places Kozacha Lopan', Viyimka, Bakhmutskoye, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna and Pervomaiskoye.

To support ground forces operations, aviation of the Armed Forces carried out 29 strikes over the past day. It was confirmed that an enemy command post, twenty-two areas of weapons and military equipment concentration, as well as six air defense missile systems were hit. In addition, our anti-aircraft subunits shot down two drones.

Rocket forces and artillery struck eight command posts, ten areas of manpower concentration, weapons and military equipment over the day. Additionally, three ammunition depots and two S-300 air defense missile systems were hit in the zone of impact.

We believe in the Armed Forces! Together we will win! Glory to Ukraine!
