Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 28.08.2022 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred eighty-sixth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the full-scale Russian invasion has begun.

On the Volyn, Polissya, and Northern Directions there have been no significant changes in the situation. In order to demonstrate presence and restrict the actions of defense units, enemy subdivisions shelled the area around Bila Tserkva in Sumy Oblast.

On the Kharkiv Direction the enemy carried out artillery strikes with field and multiple rocket launchers on the areas near the populated places of Kharkiv, Pereymoha, Protopopovka, Gusarivka, Slatyne, Ivanivka, Pyetrovka, Russkaya Lozova, Sosnovka, Velyki Prohody. Carried out air strikes near Gusarivka and Pervomaisky.

On the Slovyansk Direction enemy shelling with field artillery and multiple rocket launchers was recorded in the areas of Dolynkove, Kurulka, Adamivka, Dovylina, Brakhivka, Dybryvne, Bogorodychne, Krasnopillya, and Konstantinivka. The enemy attempted to conduct assault actions towards the populated places of Dolynkove and Bogorodychne but was unsuccessful and had to retreat.

On the Kramatorsk Direction the enemy continued artillery strikes near Slovyansk, Verkhnyokamyanskyi, and Seversk.

On the Bakhmut Direction areas around populated places of Bakhmut, Bakhmutse, Solodar, Shumi, Vesela Dolyna, Yakovlivka, Mayoriv, and Zaytseve suffered fire influence from tanks, field artillery, and multiple rocket launchers. Enemy aviation delivered a strike near Kodema.

The enemy attempted to advance in the directions of Verkhunytsia, Kodema, Semihirya, and Zaitseve. Ukrainian defenders halted and repelled the occupiers back.

On the Avdiivka Direction the enemy shelled areas around populated places of Noveleksandriyivka, Vodiane, Orlyvka, Novooleksandrivka, Vesele, New York, Krasnogorivka, Marinka, and Pervomaiske with tanks, field artillery, and multiple rocket launchers. Delivered air strikes near Valentinivka and Vodiane. Attempted to advance towards Luhanske-Pervomaisk but received a harsh counterattack and was forced to retreat.

On the Novopavlovsk Direction the enemy continued shelling civilian and military infrastructure with tanks and artillery near Pavlivka, Vuhledar, Volodymyrivka, Bohoiavlenska, Novoukrayinka, and Novomikhaylivka.

On the Zaporizhzhia Direction shelling was recorded near Dorozhnyanka, Charyvne, Orekhovo, Mala Tokmakha, Maliy Shcherbakiv, Olgivske, Stepanovskiy, Novoselykha, and Zelenopillya.

On the South Buzhak Direction occupiers continued to shell areas around populated places of Mykolayiv, Oleksandrivka, Stepova Dolyna, Prybuzke, Lupareve, Limany, Posad-Pokrovskiy, Novogrigoriyevka, Shirokoye, Pervomaiske, Partizanskoye, Kvytnevka, Kyselivka, Kobzarki, Velyke Artakove, Yakovlivka, Andriyivka, Potyomkinne, Olgine, Trudolyubivka, Kniazivka, Dobryanka, and Topolynne with available types of artillery armament. The enemy used aviation to deliver strikes near Andriyivka.

In the waters of the Black and Azov Seas there have been no significant changes in the situation. There remains a threat of the enemy using sea-based cruise missiles, such as «Kalibr,» against infrastructure targets deep within Ukrainian territory.
