President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about work on the direction of the IAEA mission to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and diplomatic efforts in the interests of our country.

These days, very active diplomacy is taking place in the interests of our state. First of all, today at St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv, a ceremony was held for the presentation of credentials to new ambassadors from foreign states who have arrived to work in our capital. The full-fledged operation of embassies, the presence of ambassadors in Kyiv — this is one of the important confirmations of the strength of our state, Ukraine's ability to fight and win. Already 55 diplomatic missions have resumed operations. And today credentials were presented to new ambassadors from Belgium, Spain, Kyrgyzstan, and Romania.

Secondly, UN Secretary-General António Guterres has already arrived in Ukraine. We will work towards the necessary results for Ukraine.

Thirdly, Ukrainian diplomats, our nuclear experts, and the IAEA — are in constant contact, now they are working on directing an IAEA mission to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Only absolute transparency and control of the situation at ZAES and around it can guarantee a gradual return to normal nuclear safety for Ukraine, the international community, and the IAEA.

The Russian army must withdraw from the territory of the AES and all adjacent areas, remove their military equipment from the station. This should happen without any conditions as quickly as possible. Ukraine is ready to ensure proper control on the part of the IAEA, and an appropriate mission can be sent to the Zaporizhzhia plant in a legal manner, very quickly and maximally effectively.

Today made a very important appeal to university communities, journalists, and political circles in Chile and generally Latin America. This is not an easy foreign policy direction — many things we are doing there now from scratch practically. We work not only at the political level but also establish ties directly with the societies of countries in this region. Called on Chileans and all people in Latin America who value freedom to spread the truth about Russia's war against our country and support sanction policies aimed at making the state-terrorist pay as high a price as possible for terror.

In the evening signed new decrees awarding our soldiers. 230 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were awarded state awards, including 43 posthumously. Also, state awards were awarded to 24 employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

All our warriors — our army, our intelligence, border guards, National Guard, SBU and everyone involved in defending our country and people — are doing everything possible to defeat Russian terrorists and push them out of Ukrainian territory.

The Avdiivka direction, Bakhmut, Kharkiv region, some other directions — there is the most intense combat action now. I am grateful to everyone who endures this pressure, who defends positions and helps our soldiers. In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, in some southern regions of the country, occupiers are trying to improve their position, but strategically it is hopeless for them. Ukrainian warriors will gradually destroy the potential of the occupiers, and the day will come when the enemy will be defeated in Zaporozhye, on the south, east of the country, and in Crimea. Occupants will perish like dew on the sun, and our defense is and will be that sun.
