In the five-year cycle of 2018/2019–2022/2023, Ukraine remains in 14th place and is fighting for 11th position to have a chance to earn a direct qualification spot for the group stage of the Champions League for its league champion.

Five domestic clubs started the season-2022/2023, and two of them, unfortunately, have already withdrawn from competition — «Vorskla» and «Zorya» were eliminated from the Conference League.

Meanwhile, «Dynamo» continues its winning streak — Kyiv's team once again defeated «Sturm» (2:1) in the Champions League and earned another point (0.2 points). Therefore, «Dynamo» currently has 3.5 points, «Zorya» and «Vorskla» each have one point, while «Shakhtar Donetsk» has 1.9 points. Ukraine's total is now at 25.7 points.

Ukraine is currently in 14th place and fighting to move up to 11th position, which would give its league champion a direct qualification spot for the group stage of the Champions League.
