To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on August 9, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred sixty-seventh day of heroic resistance against the Russian military invasion has begun.

On the Volyn and Polesie Directions there have been no significant changes. Subunits of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to carry out tasks aimed at strengthening security in border areas in Brest and Gomel regions.

There remains a threat of enemy missile and air strikes from the territory and airspace of the Republic of Belarus.

On the Northern Direction the enemy continues to maintain separate subunits of the Western Military District in border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions. They are conducting demonstrative actions aimed at restraining maneuvers of our units and preventing their redeployment to other directions.

The enemy carried out artillery strikes on our positions with field and rocket artillery in the villages of Katerynivka, Seredyna-Buda, and Mezhenyvka in Sumy region. Conducted aerial reconnaissance near Gayu and Shaligino.

On the Slobozhansky Direction the enemy is conducting combat operations aimed at holding previously occupied lines and preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops. The enemy attempts to uncover the construction of our defense system.

On the Kharkiv Direction occupiers carried out fire strikes with tanks, field and rocket artillery in the areas of populated places such as Sosnovka, Duvanka, Prudyanka, Dementiyevka, Pitomnik, Ruska Loshava, Cherneha Tishki, Pytovka, Bayrak, Star Saltyv, Bazaliyivka, Korobochkine, Andriyivka, Milove, Chuhuyiv and Chepyl. Conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs.

Conducted an air strike near Verkhny Saltov.

On the Sloviansk Direction the enemy shelled areas of Bragivka, Karnauhivka, Suligivka, Novo Dmitrivka, Protopylovka, Adamyvka, Zaliman, Mazanivka and Dolyna with artillery.

On the Donetsk Direction under support from operational-tactical and army aviation, the enemy is conducting offensive battles on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, attempting to drive our units back from occupied lines using artillery fire.

On the Kramatorsk Direction the enemy carried out shelling near Hryhoriyivka, Severna, Verkhny Kamianskyi, Zakitne and Ivan-Daryivka.

On the Bakhmut Direction enemy artillery fire was recorded towards Solorad, Kodemi, Biyohorivka, Bakhmutskyi, Viymykha and Verkhnya. Near the latter as well as Zaycevo, Dacha, Bakhmut, Yakovlivka and Spilne the enemy used aviation.

Occupants attempted to conduct reconnaissance by fire in areas of populated places such as Ivan-Daryivka, Veselye, Yakovlivka and Bakhmut. Ukrainian troops inflicted artillery strikes and forced the aggressors to flee. With similar results, the enemy launched an offensive near Zaycevo.

On the Avdiyivka Direction shelling was recorded near Vodyanyi, Pisky, Nevelskiy, Novoselyvka, Krasnogorivka and Sukhaya Balka. The enemy carried out air strikes in areas of populated places such as Mariinka, Krasnogorivka, Novoselyvka, Avdiyivka.

The enemy launched offensive battles near Krasnogorivka and Avdiyivka but did not achieve success and withdrew.

On the Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhya Directions areas of populated places such as Volodymyrivka, Pavlivka, Orikhiv, Shevchenko, Hulyaypole, Novodanylivka, Stepnogirsk, Olgivske, Kamianske and Novosilka were shelled. Air strikes were recorded near Velyka Novosilka, Shcherbakiv and Novosilka.

Our defenders destroyed reconnaissance groups in areas of Velyka Novosilka and Veremivka.

On the South Buzhak Direction the enemy is conducting defensive operations. Actively uses army aviation. To restrain our troops, carried out artillery strikes in areas of populated places such as Prybuzhke, Posad-Pokrovsk, Lupareve, Ukrainka, Luch, Mire, Blahodatne, Novorossiysk, Shirokye, Partizanskoye, Plotnitskoye, Bihorivka, Osokoryvka and Knyazivka.

Carried out air strikes near Bela Krinitsa, Andriyivka, Osokoryvka and Olhyne.

Conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs in areas of Bihorivka, Murakhivka, Novoaleksandrovka, Shevchenkovo and Mykolayivka.

In the Black Sea waters two missile carriers of the Kalibr type are ready to use high-precision weapons.

The enemy's aviation group conducts systematic combat operations aimed at supporting ground units. Focuses efforts on striking military objects in the Donetsk direction.

Ukrainian aviation and rocket-artillery subunits continue to successfully inflict fire strikes on concentrations of Russian occupiers' manpower, military equipment and ammunition depots. As a result of losses, the enemy's personnel composition on many directions is refusing to go into battle and resorting to sabotage.
