Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 08.08.2022 regarding the Russian invasion into our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred sixty-sixth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian nation against the Russian military invasion has begun.

On the Volyn and Polesie Directions, in the situation and actions of the enemy — no significant changes. There is an increase in the anti-aircraft defense system.

On the Northern Direction the enemy continues to hold separate units of the Western Military District in border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions.

On the Kharkiv Direction the enemy carried out artillery shelling with field and rocket artillery along the line of contact. Shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Zolochiv, Prudyanka, Dementiyevka, Pitomnik, Russkaya Lozova, Russkie Tishki, Cherkinskiye Tishki, Kutyuzhivka, Staro-Saltyv, Chuguyev and Asyivka.

Conducted air strikes near Gusaryvka and Verkhny Saltov. Actively conducted aerial reconnaissance with tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

On the Slovyansk Direction the enemy shelled areas of Velika Komishova, Vyrnopillya, Suligivka, Ridne, Dybriwne, Gryshuvaha, Bogorodichne, Norcivka and Dolyna. Conducted air strikes near Zalizan.

On the Kramatorsk Direction enemy shelling with tanks, field and rocket artillery was recorded around Kramatorsk, Seversk, Serbryanka, Hryhorivka and Sporny. The occupiers carried out air strikes near Hryhorivka and Ivan-Daryivka.

In order to improve the tactical situation, the enemy conducted an offensive battle in the area of Verkhny Kamianskyi. As usual, he suffered losses and retreated.

On the Bakhmut Direction the enemy carried out shelling of military and civilian infrastructure in the areas of Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Soltarovka, Zaytseve, Yakovlivka, Bilohorivka and Bakhmutskoye. Used aviation near Bakhmut, Yakovlivka and Zaytseve.

The enemy continued reconnaissance without sparing manpower. Enemy reconnaissance groups were detected and destroyed in the areas of Bakhmutskoye, Bakhmut and Yakovlivka.

The enemy attempted offensive actions near Bakhmut, Zaytseve, Yakovlivka and Verkhnya Vyzhynya but was unsuccessful and retreated.

On the Avdiivka Direction artillery shelling around Avdiivka, Pisky, Nevelskiy, Krasnogorivka and Kurakhove was recorded. The occupiers carried out air strikes near New York, Krasnogorivka, Marinka and Yurykivka.

The enemy conducted offensive actions in the directions of Pisky, Nevelskiy and Avdiivka but was unsuccessful and retreated.

On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhya Directions the enemy continued shelling military and civilian infrastructure in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Kostyantynivka, Shevchenko, Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Vremivka, Novosilka, Bihorija, Stepanovka and Poltavka. Used aviation for strikes near Novomykhailivka, Prechystivka, Volodymyrivka and Novosilka. Conducted offensive actions in the directions of Marinka and Shevchenko. Ukrainian soldiers met the occupiers with precise fire and pushed them back.

On the Southern Buzhok Direction main enemy efforts continue to be focused on holding occupied positions and preventing our troops from advancing. The enemy actively conducts reconnaissance with UAVs.

Carried out shelling with field, rocket artillery and tanks along the entire line of contact. Conducted air strikes in the areas of Olhynivka, Novogrigoryevka and Andriyivka.

In the Black Sea waters the enemy's naval group continues to perform assigned tasks. There is a threat of missile strikes on military objects and infrastructure elements throughout Ukraine.

Ukrainian soldiers steadfastly hold their defense, inflict losses on the enemy, and are ready for any changes in the operational situation.
