The opponent of the blue-and-yellow team in the semifinals is the current European champion — Spain's national team. The match will start today at 7 PM Kyiv time, and it will be broadcast live on regional platforms UA:Suspilne and YouTube channel Suspilne:Sport.
The day before the game with the Spanish women, head coach of Ukraine Oleg Shaytanov and captain of our team Yuliya Forsyuk appeared at a press conference. Their words are quoted by the press service of the Ukrainian Football Federation.
"We understand that there is currently a war in Ukraine. Every time we hear our country mentioned — it's already a small victory for us. Our match has not only a sporting component but also a political one. The whole of Europe will hear the Ukrainian anthem and see our flag again. As for the game, I really hope that our team plays to their full potential. Of course, everyone dreams about medals."
"It was definitely difficult. The girls scattered all over Europe. Some stayed in Ukraine. Others were still on occupied territories. However, we managed to gather together. This month gave us strength. Without this preparation, it would have been hard to talk about anything. We hope that the gathering will be beneficial for us. The match is very important for us," — said Oleg Shaytanov.
"This tournament is a big dream for our entire team — both players and coaches. As for me, I have been playing football for a long time, but this is only my second official tournament in the national team during my career. There are no words to describe how happy we are to be here. The motivation among the girls is at its highest level. I want to thank all countries that hosted us throughout the month and everyone who contributed to this. The conditions for preparation were excellent. As for the match, Spain's national team is undoubtedly a very strong team. We are delighted to play in the semifinals against such a high-level team. This is sports, so when you step onto the field — you have to do everything to win. I wish success to both teams. May the stronger side prevail."
"This month was extremely important for our entire team. Some girls did not train at all for three or four months. Others got game practice, while some were in teams but could only train. Of course, it's hard to make up for everything in a month. Every training session is necessary, but more importantly, we managed to unite during this time. Naturally, we spent the time without our families and sometimes felt down due to news about events in Ukraine. This was difficult. However, every week after moving to another country you meet sincere and smiling people who are ready to help. I would like to express my gratitude to them again. Despite negative news, we are happy to return to training. For us, the European Championship is a big celebration. We need to enjoy this moment," — believes Yuliya Forsyuk.

The final tournament of the second European Championship in women's futsal will take place from July 1 to 3 this year.
Earlier, UEFA announced that the final tournament of the Women's Euro-2022 futsal championship, which was supposed to take place from March 25 to 27 in Portugal, had been postponed. This decision was made after consultations and obtaining consent from the football association of the host country.
Later, UEFA announced new dates for semifinals and medal matches. The games are scheduled for July 1-3. Thus, on July 1, Ukraine's national team will play against Spain in the semifinal. The venue of the final tournament has not changed — all meetings will take place in Gondomar, Portugal.
In another semifinal match, Portugal and Russia were supposed to meet. However, due to Russian military aggression in Ukraine, FIFA and UEFA excluded the Russian national team and clubs from all competitions under their auspices. As a result, the Russian women's futsal team will not participate in the Euro-2022 final tournament. According to the UEFA decision, Hungary, which took second place in its group stage of qualification, will take part in the continental championship.
