During the preliminary stages of preparation, blue-and-yellow played three friendlies. After losing to Italy's national team (1:2) our team crushed a second-tier Italian division representative "Banìolo" (8:1). Later, the Ukrainians traveled to France, where they played against a local championship team "Nantes Métropole" (5:1).

After this, blue-and-yellow headed to Portugal, where they have already held several training sessions in the city of Oliveira de Azeméis. On June 24th, Oleksandr Shaytanov's wards played a friendly match against the local national team that is hosting Euro-2022. Unfortunately, our girls conceded with a score of 0:6.

As a reminder, the final tournament of the second women's European Championship in indoor football, which Ukraine will participate in, will take place from July 1-3 this year.

Earlier, UEFA announced that the final tournament of the women's Euro-2022 indoor football championship, which was scheduled to take place from March 25th to 27th in Portugal, has been postponed. This decision was made after consultations and obtaining consent from the country's football association.

Later, UEFA announced the new dates for semifinals and medal matches. The games are planned for July 1-3. Thus, on July 1st, Ukraine will play against Spain in the semifinal. The venue of the final tournament has not changed — all meetings will take place in Gondomar, Portugal.

In another semifinal match, Portugal and Russia were supposed to meet. However, due to Russian military aggression against Ukraine, FIFA and UEFA excluded the Russian teams and clubs from all competitions under their auspices. As a result, the Russian women's indoor football team will not participate in the Euro-2022 final tournament. According to UEFA's decision, Hungary, which secured second place in its group during the main round of qualification, will take part in the continental championship.
