Today, the national team welcomed Eduard Sobol. The player who won this season's Belgian championship with "Brugge" stayed for a few days due to waiting for a British visa that was issued by the club.

The predicted processing time from the Brussels Visa Center did not materialize, so there was some delay, but the main thing is that Eduard has already joined the camp: he arrived at the "Elegance" hotel before lunch and managed to attend the theoretical session.

" I'm very happy to finally join the team, "— Eduard admitted. " I met with the guys with great joy—I missed them so much! I am just thrilled to be back here! There's no time for acclimatization, so I'm ready to jump right into training. The boys are all in high spirits and good shape, so my eagerness to show myself is off the charts. "

The lunchtime theory session was dedicated to analyzing a two-sided game that the team played on May 26th: the coaching staff analyzed the preparation program for the match against Scotland.

Eduard Sobol has become the 25th player in the current squad of blue and yellow. We are waiting only for Andriy Lunin, who will arrive after the Champions League final. As expected, Mykola Shaparenko joined the main group during today's evening training session. Denis Popov is finishing his individual program under the supervision of doctors, gradually increasing physical loads to return to team work soon.

During preparation, coach Vyacheslav Reznichenko first and foremost aimed to lift the spirits of the players who were recovering from a 90-minute game yesterday. In relay races, which they performed both with and without balls, teamwork and awareness of teammates' positions took precedence. Only by combining these factors could success be achieved in their group. There were also technical exercises focusing on quick thinking.

After this, the team worked on ball control and then carried out tactical tasks in game series format. During these exercises, as usual, heart rate measurements are taken along with an analysis of the distance covered by players during training, their developed speed, and endurance levels. These data help assess how well the body has recovered after a demanding match and its readiness to take on new challenges.

Sunday will not be a day off for the camp; head coach Oleksandr Petrakov has scheduled two training sessions for tomorrow. However, today's evening is not over yet as the boys are watching the Champions League final, cheering for Andriy Lunin's team (though there are supporters of Liverpool among them) and closely observing the performance of Scotland's captain and leader Andrew Robertson, who is expected to start in red.
