Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 19, 2022, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The fifty-fifth day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military invasion has begun.

A full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against our state continues. The enemy is attempting to continue offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone with the goal of establishing complete control over the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as maintaining a land corridor with temporarily occupied Crimea.

Uninterrupted air and missile strikes on civilian objects throughout Ukraine are ongoing. During the previous day, there was an intensification of missile strike missions against targets in western regions.

In the Slovyansk and Donetsk operational areas, the aggressor is conducting offensive and storming operations on certain fronts.

The enemy continues to transfer weapons and military equipment into Ukraine from central and eastern regions of the Russian Federation. Along with combat units, they are also transferring support units.

In addition, in order to improve the material-technical support system, occupiers are deploying logistics centers and creating field bases for repairing and restoring damaged equipment.

On the Slovyansk Front, the enemy with a certain force continues partial blockades of the city of Kharkiv. According to available information, in order to organize an anti-aircraft defense system for the advancing group, the enemy is transferring additional air defense missile divisions of S-300 and Tor systems to the Kharkiv region. At the same time, in border areas with Ukraine in Belgorod region, air defense missile divisions of S-400 and S-300 have been deployed to cover key command points as well as rear areas.

On the Izium Front, the enemy is conducting offensive operations on the left bank of the Seversky Donets river. To support offensive operations in the specified area, the enemy has created a system of main and reserve firing positions for rocket and field artillery.

On the Donetsk and Tavriysk Fronts, Russian occupiers have intensified offensive operations along the entire line of confrontation.

The enemy's main efforts are focused on breaking through our troops' defense in Luhansk and Donetsk regions, as well as establishing complete control over Mariupol. In Zaporizhzhia region, there is a concentration of occupation forces units in designated areas.

On the Southern Buzok Front, the enemy's main efforts are focused on advancing to the administrative border of Kherson region. To improve tactical positioning, occupiers are attempting to conduct offensive operations around the populated area of Oleksandrivka. The enemy continues shelling civilian objects in Mykolaiv.

On the Volyn, Polesie and Northern Fronts, no significant changes have been recorded.

The Republic of Belarus continues to provide its territory for aerial strikes against Ukraine's territory and conducting reconnaissance on our territory. 

According to the latest verified information, losses in the 126th coastal defense brigade of the Black Sea Fleet amount to about 75%. The 810th separate marine infantry brigade of the Black Sea Fleet has lost 158 servicemen killed, nearly 500 wounded, and 70 people are missing.

A significant portion of the personnel from these brigades have submitted reports to refuse participation in what is called the «special operation.»

On the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy attacks over the past day, destroying ten tanks, eighteen units of armored vehicles, eight units of automotive equipment, one artillery system, as well as an enemy mortar.

By the Air Force Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the previous day, seven aerial targets were engaged: one aircraft, four drones and two cruise missiles.
