General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: operational information regarding the Russian invasion (as of 06:00 10.04.2022)

Note for your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on April 10, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

The forty-sixth day has begun of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people against the Russian military aggression.

The enemy continues to conduct a full-scale armed aggression against our state. It attempts to break through the defenses of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Izium area and establish complete control over the city of Mariupol. The occupiers also make efforts to improve the tactical situation of their units on the Mykolaiv direction.

On the Volyn, Polesie, and Northern Directions no significant changes in the situation or activities of enemy forces have been recorded.

On the Slobozhansky Direction the enemy continues partial blockading of Kharkiv, shelling the city with rocket and artillery systems as well as mortars. The occupiers are moving additional units to the city of Izium to reinforce their grouping in the specified direction.

In the Donetsk and Tavriysky Operational Areas the enemy conducts artillery and mortar shelling on most fronts. Conducts assault actions in Mariupol, delivers air strikes, attempting to seize the central part of the city.

On the South Buzhsky Direction yesterday the enemy attempted once again to establish control over the populated point Oleksandrivka. It was unsuccessful. Lost a tactical group in manpower and equipment.

Russian occupiers continued shelling Novovorontsovka, Mariyanskoe, Novogrigoriyevka, and Shevchenkove with artillery.

In connection with significant sanitary losses in manpower and equipment, the oppressors have deployed military hospitals and repair workshops for military equipment on temporarily occupied territories of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. At the same time, due to a constant influx of wounded Russian Federation armed forces personnel into their hospitals, there is not enough qualified medical staff in enemy hospitals. In addition, the enemy has problems with stocks of medical supplies, which are practically not replenished. Also, the manpower of repair workshops for equipment restoration is forced to work around the clock under conditions of a lack of stable supply of spare parts and aggregates.

It is noted that repair-restoration brigades from the territory of the Russian Federation (Yaroslavl region) are arriving for the conduct of repair-restoration works on railways in temporarily occupied territories of Kharkiv region.

In populated points of Melitopol district, Zaporizhzhia region, Russian oppressors continue searches of civilian residents' dwellings. Checking documents, availability of automobile transport, food supplies. Conducting inquiries about the places of work of close relatives and demanding information on former employees of law enforcement agencies, military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participants of ATO/OS.

In the city of Nova Kakhovka, occupiers are using local printing houses to prepare propaganda materials (brochures, booklets, posters, forms) for conducting a so-called «referendum on the creation of the Kherson People's Republic».

In Luhansk region, measures by Russian-occupied administrations aimed at forced mobilization of the population in temporarily occupied territories are being strengthened.

On the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, our troops repelled eight enemy attacks over the past day, destroying four tanks, eight units of armored vehicles, and seven units of automotive equipment of the enemy.

By the Air Force grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the previous day, thirteen aerial targets were engaged: three aircraft, one helicopter, five UAVs, and four cruise missiles.

We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Together we will win! Glory to Ukraine!
