As part of the preparation for the main round of Euro-2022 qualification, the blue-and-yellow team traveled to Portugal, where they were scheduled to play two friendlies against a local team in Elvas.

Ukrainian juniors played their first international matches after securing third place at the tournament in Croatia in June. On November 6-7, our team conducted a training camp in Brovary, and on the 8th they departed for friendly games.

Today, Vitaliy Odegov's wards played their first match against the Portuguese. At the 7th minute, Oleksandr Dychuk put Ukraine ahead, but by the 10th minute, the hosts scored twice. Near the end of the first half, Andriy Britan equalized.

However, in the second half, the Portuguese netted five "clean" goals against our national team and won with a score of 7:2. The second friendly will take place tomorrow (kickoff at 19:00).
