Today in Viareggio, Italy, the Ukrainian men's beach soccer team played their second match at the most important tournament of the season — the EuroLeague-2025 Superfinal.

After defeating Switzerland (5:4) under coach Mykola Kostenko, they faced their toughest group opponent — Spain.

The start of the first period was shocking for the blue-and-yellow team. Within the first minute, Brian scored a brace and immediately gave his team a comfortable lead. However, the Ukrainians rallied and did not allow the opposition to capitalize on their success further. They even had at least two chances to score in response.

As in the first period, the start of the second was unsuccessful for our team, and at the 13th minute, David Ardel extended the lead to 3:0. Despite this, the Ukrainian players finally broke through with a goal after one minute. Alexander Samoylenko scored from a powerful free kick. At the 19th minute, Antonio was penalized for fouling near his own goal, and the Ukrainians were awarded a penalty. Denis Yarmak converted it, marking his debut goal for the national team. With just 20 seconds left, Serhiy Maximets equalized the score by taking advantage of an error made by the Spanish goalkeeper. Two minutes later, Yarmak scored another brace to put Ukraine ahead — 4:3.

However, in the third 12-minute period, Spain managed to tie it up again thanks to David Ardel's efforts — 4:4, and then Batís scored with a bicycle kick to regain the lead for his team.

Thus, the final score was 5:4 in favor of Spain.
