The Ukrainian Premier League has kicked off, with 16 teams participating. The central match of the round took place in Petrovyye, where "Ingulets" and "Bukovyna" faced each other, both of which are aiming to improve their standing.

The rivalry was intense from the start, with guests playing more aggressively. Their newcomer Vitaliy Dakhnovsky had the best chance to score but missed from a favorable position. The match ended in a 0-0 draw, which can be considered fair.

"Vorskla," who has been freed from three transfer bans, managed to sign as many as 14 young recruits. Fans who attended the game against "Phoenix-Maripol" got to see the updated Poltava team and could appreciate its character. The hosts conceded early but leveled the score in the first half of the second period and then scored a winning goal through experienced Mykita Tatarkov — 2:1.

The fate of "Chornomorets" versus "Niva" was also decided in the second half. Odessa's Kereman, led by captain Yaroslav Rakitskyi, managed to create a fairly combat-ready team despite financial difficulties.

Oleksandr Skliar and Ivan Kogut were rewarded for their activity with goals, while the Ternopilians managed to narrow the gap only in stoppage time — 2:1.

The scorer of "Agrobusiness," Maxim Voytikhovskyy, made a name for himself. Last season, it was worth him stopping scoring in "Group Championship" as Podolya sharply slowed down. Correct conclusions were drawn; Oleksandr Chizhevskyi's wards began to use wing passes more often in the opening match against "Left Bank," and this paid off. The grenadier of "Agrobusiness" completed a brace, and the hosts deservedly took the lead — 2:0.

Ivano-Frankivsk's Andriy Khoma also found himself in a similar situation, needing to break his goal drought. In the match against "Victoria," the leader of "Prykarpattia-Blago" managed it: he also scored two goals — 2:0.

Today's game in Horodetskyi concluded the program for the opening round, where newcomer "Probiy" hosted "Chernihiv." The hosts took an early lead and despite all efforts from the city team, maintained their winning score — 1:0. Vladyslav Felipovych scored a historic goal.
