Within the preparation for the Euro-2025 (U-19) futsal tournament, Igor Moskvin's wards played their first of two friendly matches against the hosts of the final tournament.

In January, the blue-and-yellow team secured third place at the Istria Nations Cup 2025 in Croatian cities Umag and Novigrad. There, our boys defeated Slovenia's under-19s (4:0) and Slovakia's under-19s (7:0), drew with Italy (2:2), and lost to France (2:5).

After this, the under-19 national team of Ukraine traveled for two away friendly matches against Moldova's under-19s, who will be hosting Euro-2025 (U-19). The first of these sparring matches took place today at «Chisinau Arena». The blue-and-yellow team confidently won — 7:2. Tomorrow, on February 3rd, the teams will play another match (kickoff at 1 PM).

Recall that on October 31, the draw for Euro-2025 (U-19) futsal qualification took place, during which Ukraine's under-19 squad learned their opponents.

Our team will play in the main round of qualification right away, where the top 25 ranked teams according to UEFA and three winners from a previous round compete. They are divided into seven groups of four teams each. By the draw's decision, blue-and-yellow ended up in Group 5 alongside Netherlands, Serbia, and Montenegro. The mini-tournament will take place in Serbia. Only the group winner advances to the final stage.

The fourth edition of the European Championship in futsal among under-19 national teams will take place in the same format as before. Qualification matches will conclude in March 2025. Seven teams will be determined to join the host country — Moldova. The final tournament will consist of two groups of four teams each, with two from each advancing to the semifinals.
