Football in Kharkiv region continues to develop: the summary conference of HOAF took place

In Kharkiv, the VI Conference of the Kharkiv Oblast Football Association was held, at which the summaries for 2024 were compiled.

Football in Kharkiv region continues to develop: the summary conference of HOAF took place

The VI Conference of the Kharkiv Oblast Football Association was held in Kharkiv, where the results for 2024 were summed up. Among those who participated were Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matviy Bidnyi and General Secretary of the Ukrainian Football Association Igor Gryshchenko.

Despite all challenges, the HOFA has achievements and results:

— after a two-year break, the oblast championship among amateurs was resumed. Eleven teams participated in it. A total of 110 matches were held, involving over 300 football players. The victory went to the "Avangard" (Lozova) team;

— more than 6,000 children are engaged in football at DYSH and children's academies throughout the oblast. Over 40 tournaments took place in 2024, including the Open Children-Youth Tournament "Cup of Indestructibility," which was attended by 30 teams;

— young female football players from Kharkiv region became bronze medalists of the Fifth Summer School Games of Ukraine and finished fourth in the Ukrainian U-15 Championship, reaching the final;

— thanks to an important social-sports project Spirit of Soccer Ukraine, over 1,000 training sessions were held involving more than 5,000 children across all districts. The children learned mine safety in a game format;

— 25 referees, seven of whom work on matches of the VBET Ukrainian Premier League and other national competitions, ensure high-level refereeing at oblast and nationwide tournaments;

— work is underway to restore damaged sports facilities. As early as 2025, a new modern football pitch will appear in the oblast.

All of this is the result of joint efforts by coaches, players, volunteers, partners, and the entire Kharkiv Oblast Football Association team.
