Ukraine women's beach soccer team defeats Czechia to secure fifth place in the 2024 Euroleague Superfinal

Today, the Ukraine women's beach soccer team played their final match in the 2024 Women's Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal in Alghero, Italy.

Yuriy Klymenko's team finished fourth in the group stage, participating in the consolation final for 5th–8th place. Yesterday, in the minor semifinal, they defeated Switzerland (5:3), and today they faced one of their group-stage opponents, Czechia, in the battle for 5th–6th place.

In the first period, Kostyuk opened the scoring with a free-kick. In the second, Klipachenko, assisted by Terekh, and Bavzenyuk, finishing off a setup from Skybina's bicycle kick, extended Ukraine's lead to three goals.

The Czech team responded with two goals but Ukraine held onto their lead, securing a 3:2 victory and 5th place in the 2024 Euroleague Superfinal.
