Today, July 14, the Ukrainian Olympic team preparing for the summer Games will play a friendly match against Egypt's team, which will also participate in the forum in France.
The control match will start on one of the fields at Plaine des Sports in the Aquitaine town of Saint-Paul-lès-Dax at 7:00 PM Kyiv time. We add that the second game, against the Olympic team of Paraguay, will take place on July 18 also in an Aquitanian city, Ajaccio, at the Alan Lescure stadium. Start time - again 7:00 PM Kyiv time (6:00 PM local).

The format of the Olympic tournament is traditional: a battle in four groups of four teams, with the top two advancing to the knockout stage, followed by quarter-finals, semi-finals, third-place match and final (September 9, Paris, "Parc des Princes").
We remind you that last summer, defeating France (3-1) in the quarter-final of Euro-2023 (U-21) and securing a place in the semi-finals, our team achieved an historic success - it secured for the country's first appearance at a football tournament of the Olympics. Along with Ukraine, licenses to the 2024 Summer Games in this discipline from Europe were won by teams of Spain and Israel.
Participants of the men's football tournament of the Olympic Games 2024 will compete from July 24 to August 9 in seven cities of France: Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Saint-Étienne, Nice and Nantes. According to the regulations, players born after January 1, 2001 can participate in the games. However, each team may include three players older than this age in their roster.
In total, 16 teams will take part in the tournament: France as host, three representing Europe (Ukraine, Spain, Israel), three - Africa (Morocco, Egypt, Mali), three - Asia (Japan, Uzbekistan, Iraq), two - South America (Paraguay, Argentina), two - CONCACAF zone (USA, Dominican Republic), one - Oceania (New Zealand), and the winner of the intercontinental play-off (Guinea) has also joined them.
