U-16: Ukraine clinched top spot at UEFA Development Tournament in Estonia

The Ukraine U-16 team, composed of players born no later than 2008, finished their campaign in the UEFA Development Tournament in Estonia with a match against their peers from Luxembourg.

In Tallinn, the blue-yellow team faced off against the teams from Northern Ireland, Estonia, and Luxembourg. The tournament was seen as a crucial stage in the preparation of the team for the qualifying round of Euro 2025 (U-17), scheduled for the autumn.

Each team was slated to play three matches. A win earned three points, while in the case of a draw, a penalty shootout was held, with the victor receiving two points and the losing team earning one point.

Under the guidance of Yuriy Moroz, the Ukrainian team began the tournament with a penalty shootout loss to Northern Ireland. Subsequently, our boys defeated their Estonian counterparts 3:1.

Today, the blue-yellow team faced Luxembourg and emerged victorious with a scoreline of 3:1. Goals for our team were scored by Dmytro Zudin, Oleksandr Kroitar, and Artem Korzh. As a result, the Ukrainian youngsters secured the top spot in the tournament.
