Today, on April 17 in Belfast, the draw for the final tournament of Euro-2024 (U-19) involving eight national teams, including Ukraine, will take place. The ceremony starts at 17:00 Kyiv time.

We remind you that on March 26, the Ukrainian youth team (players born in 2005 or later) impressively concluded their battle in the elite round of Euro-2024 (U-19) with a victory over Switzerland (3:0). Before that, the wards of Dmitri Mykhailenko defeated North Macedonia (2:0) and Latvia (3:0). The blue-and-yellow team won their group with maximum points and secured a spot in the final tournament of the European Championship, which will take place from July 15 to 28 in Northern Ireland involving eight national teams.

Besides Northern Ireland, Ukraine, Italy (current champions), France, Spain, Turkey, Norway, and Denmark will participate. The hosts will occupy position A1 on the starting line-up, while other teams will be divided into two groups. From each quartet, the top two national teams will advance to the semifinals. On July 28 at "Windsor Park" in Belfast, the main trophy will be contested.

A match for third place is not scheduled, but a game for fifth place is planned since Europe will send five representatives to the World Cup 2025 among U-20 teams, which will take place in Chile involving 24 national teams. Thus, four semifinalists and the winner of the match between the third-placed teams from each group will qualify. Like the semifinals, this game is scheduled for July 25.

We remind you that in 2019 Ukraine won gold at the World Cup among youth national teams U-20.
