Yesterday, on February 9th, the final seminar for second-year students of the National Football Referees School took place at the House of Football. The school is governed by the UEFA Convention under the control of the UAFA Arbitration Committee.

Since the beginning of 2023, over 100 of the best young referees from all over Ukraine have been undergoing training at the NSFS, but only 20 judges made it to the final seminar by successfully passing all tests throughout the year — both theoretical (including English language) and various practical ones (FIFA fitness tests, conducting amateur, student matches, and DYLFL).

Before the start of the training event, head of the UAFA Arbitration Committee Luciano Luchi greeted the school attendees and emphasized the need for continuous preparation even during off-seasons. The UAFA pays great attention to future referees, so the best students will soon have an opportunity to showcase themselves in competitions among U-19 Premier League teams.

Participants of the seminar were addressed by Deputy Head of the CA UAFA and School Director Serhiy Lisynchuks as well as lecturers of the association Viktor Derdas and Leonid Yarmolinskys.

After the seminar concluded and during the year-end summary, it was noted that Ukraine is rich in young talents, and success comes only through titanic efforts and a desire to develop. And thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the UAFA, despite the difficult situation in the country, several working seminars with the most promising Ukrainian referees will be held at the House of Football in 2024.
