President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, reporting on the year-end meeting of the General Staff and about mitigating the consequences of Russian strikes.

Briefly about this day.

The General Staff meeting was special, a year-end summary. And for the next year. What has been done this year. And what needs to be done in the coming year. There was a report by the Chief of the General Staff. Also presented was our plan of actions for the 24th year.

There was an intelligence briefing — from GUR and foreign intelligence services. About what occupiers are preparing, and generally about the situation — about general military-political expectations and possible events in the world.

Despite whatever happens in other countries, despite any political changes or moods, we need sufficient potential to achieve our goals. It is clear that next year will be a time of many decisions — global decisions. And Ukraine needs to know how to influence them — to achieve its goals. We will fight for our influence and justice for Ukraine, and I am grateful to all leaders who help us from February 24th onwards.

Today the whole day was dedicated to mitigating the consequences of Russian strikes. Overall, more than 120 of our cities and villages were affected by yesterday's Russian attack. 39 fatalities. My condolences to all who lost loved ones... It is very important that full assistance be provided to those affected — whose homes and apartments have been damaged by terrorists. This must be addressed both at the governmental level and locally. Ukrainian rescuers, doctors, police officers, municipal workers involved in this effort — I thank you for your help to people, for working around the clock to save as many lives as possible!

Now in Kharkiv a rescue operation is underway — 17 people were affected by another strike. And for every such attack on Kharkiv region, our Kherson region, cities and villages of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odessa, Sumy regions, Kyiv and all other Ukrainian cities and regions, for every "shahid", for every Russian missile there will be a just responsibility of the state-terrorist. And political as well as very practical.

We are preparing in the next year to produce more weapons. We already have an international work schedule for January. We are working with our partners on solutions that every Ukrainian soldier, our entire nation and our country need. And these decisions will be — they will be strong.

I want to thank all our partners separately for the new operational work to strengthen our PPO. 24/7 we are working not only in the free world — and this is important. It is important that counter-terrorism does not stop even for a day. So that Russia cannot win anything in this war. And it will be.
