Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on December 12, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred and fifty-seventh day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, 89 combat engagements took place.

In total, the enemy carried out 10 rocket and 18 air strikes, conducted 60 artillery attacks on our positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

In addition, yesterday Russia once again attacked Ukraine using 15 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. The air defense forces of Ukraine destroyed nine enemy attack drones.

Air strikes hit Pobeda and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.

Over 90 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «North» on the Volyn and Polesie fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi fronts the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, and increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Khortytsia» on the Kupyansk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks near Sinkyvka and northwest of Petro-Pavlivka in Kharkiv region.

On the Lyman front our defenders repelled eight enemy attacks near Spirne and Veseloye in Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut front our soldiers repelled 14 enemy attacks near Bogdanivka, Klyshchyvka, Andriyivka, and North in Donetsk region. The forces of Ukraine's defense continue offensive actions south of Bakhmut, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Tavria» on the Avdiivka front, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Defense forces successfully repelled 42 attacks by the enemy in areas east of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, south of North, south of Tonenkyi, and Pervomaiskoye in Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol front defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in areas near Mariupol, Krasnogorivka, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled 14 attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk front the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) operations.

On the Zaporizhzhia front defense forces repelled three attacks by the enemy near north of Pryyutne and west of Novopavlovka in Zaporizhzhia region.

At the same time on the Melitopol front the defense forces of Ukraine continue active operations, inflicting losses on occupying troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire frontline.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Odessa» on the Kherson front defense forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, continuing counter-battery fire and inflicting artillery strikes on enemy rear areas.

During the past day, aviation of defense forces carried out two strikes in areas where enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment are concentrated.

Subunits of rocket troops inflicted damage on three areas where enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment are concentrated, two ammunition depots, one command post, and one artillery system of the enemy.
