Today the Ukrainian youth team (football players born in 2005 or later) successfully completed the qualification round of Euro-2024 (U-19).

Coach Oleg Kuznetsov's wards played in group 7 alongside Slovakia, Kosovo, and Malta. After winning their first match in the mini-tournament held in Ta' Qali, Malta (3:1), they lost to Kosovo in the next game (0:4).

To advance from the group, the blue and yellow team had to beat Slovakia in their final match. And our team managed to do just that.

A decisive 10-minute stretch in the first half yielded goals by Ivan Yermachkov, Maxim Derkach, and Taras Mikhavko, while Matviy Ponomarenko sealed the deal late in the game. Thus, Ukraine's youth team secured a convincing victory—4:0. Next spring, they will participate in the elite round of qualification, with the draw taking place in December.
