To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10.00 on September 13, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred and fiftieth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

Forces of the Ukrainian Defense continue to conduct defense on the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine, as well as an offensive operation on the Melitopol direction and offensive actions on the Bakhmut direction, destroying the enemy, step by step liberating temporarily occupied territories, consolidating on the lines they have reached.

During the past day, 34 combat engagements took place. The enemy carried out seven missile strikes and 35 air raids, conducting over 56 artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers both against our positions and civilian objects of our state.

In addition, at the beginning of the current day, Russian occupiers launched a massive aerial attack using strike drones on the civilian infrastructure of Odesa and Sumy regions. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is being clarified.

Air raids were carried out in Popivka, Stebok, Myropillya, Hrabovske (Sumy region), Kyslivka (Kharkiv region), Nadia, Dibrova (Luhansk region), Spirene, Klyschyivka, Pivnichne (Donetsk region), Robotyne (Zaporizhzhya region), Otradkamyanka (Kherson region).

Over 45 populated areas in Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «North» on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

In the North and Slobozhansky directions the enemy continues to maintain covering forces along the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in border areas with the aim of preventing our troops from being redeployed to threatening sectors, increasing the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Khortytsia» on the Kupyansk, Lyman and Bakhmut directions, the enemy does not give up attempts to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Orilovo-Vasylivka. In turn, Defense Forces had partial success in the area of Klischyivka (Donetsk region) during offensive actions, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Tavria», our defenders firmly hold the defense near Avdiivka and Mariinka, where during the past day the enemy made over 20 unsuccessful attempts to drive our units from their positions. In addition, all attacks by the enemy in the areas of Novomykhailivka (Donetsk region) and south of Novodarivka (Zaporizhzhia region) turned out to be significant losses for the occupiers both in manpower and equipment. At the same time on the Avdiivsky, Mariinsky and Shakhtarsky directions, Defense Forces continue to maintain the initiative, pressuring the enemy, conducting storming actions and liberating our land.

In the Melitopol direction, Defense Forces continue an offensive operation, inflicting significant losses on occupying forces in manpower and equipment, forcing the enemy to retreat from occupied positions. As a result of storming operations, our soldiers had partial success near Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia region).

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops «Odessa» on the Kherson direction, Defense Forces continue counter-battery fire, destroying logistics, locations and firing positions of enemy units.

The command of Russian occupiers in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to recapture lost positions is redeploying units from among former Russian prison inmates to problem areas on the front line.

In particular, for support of intensive combat actions from Mariupol city to Ilchenkove, which is in temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, occupiers sent nearly 200 former inmates with the aim of creating storming groups for capturing Robotyne.

Similar measures involving relocation — up to 120 former inmates — were carried out from Luhansk to Melitopol. Former inmates here are used by occupiers for so-called «meat storming».

Russian occupiers during the period of conducting so-called elections starting from September 3 this year significantly strengthened their counter-intelligence measures. The imitation of election process was actively controlled by reinforced groups of Russian National Guard and operational-technical service of FSB, who tried to identify pro-Ukrainian citizens in temporarily occupied territories. Simultaneously, occupation authorities checked the level of Russian passportization of the population, attitude towards the occupation administration, as well as measures were taken to detect existing links with residents of non-occupied parts of Ukraine, sources of income and property status.

During the past day, aviation of Defense Forces carried out ninety strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy.

Subunits of missile troops and artillery and unmanned systems damaged 10 artillery means, two anti-aircraft missile complexes, one area of concentration of personnel, one radio-electronic combat station, one command post and five ammunition depots of the enemy.

Estimated losses of the enemy during the past day totaled: 590 occupiers, 16 tanks, 14 armored fighting vehicles, 30 artillery systems, two MLRS, two air defense means, five tactical-level drones, 31 vehicles and three units of special equipment.
