"Working maximally with partners so that our common security triumphs in Vilnius." Address by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about a particularly lengthy and detailed meeting of the High Command and about the preparation of new sanction measures by our state. "Dear Ukrainians, Women are included in the Ukrainian context as "українці" (ukraincy) for men and "українки" (ukrainki) for women, so it's appropriate to translate this inclusively.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, informing about a particularly long and detailed meeting of the General Staff and about the preparation of new sanction measures by our state.

"Dear Ukrainians,

Report for today.

First. The General Staff — a particularly long, particularly detailed meeting. In particular — regarding the security of our strategic objects, our nuclear power plants. There were relevant reports, relevant decisions and — very importantly — control over the implementation of these decisions.

By the way, we are in maximum contact with partners to ensure that no one in the world has even a slightest information deficit regarding the situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP and threats created by Russia.

At the General Staff meeting, as always, key directions of the East and South were thoroughly examined. Thank you, soldiers, for your bravery!

We also pay attention to the Northern direction — all potential threats are seen, and it has been entrusted to the head to continue strengthening "the North."

Very important: at every General Staff meeting we keep returning to the issue of ammunition, particularly for our artillery. And this concerns not only supply from partners but also production in Ukraine. I thank everyone who works towards fulfilling this strategic and life-important task. There is continuous progress in weapons production in Ukraine.

Another important thing that happened today. We are preparing new sanctions, sanction steps of our state, and today I held a meeting on this with First Vice Prime Minister Sviриdenko and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Danylov. Decisions — coming soon.

Third. I held a separate meeting regarding the situation with shelters in various regions of our state, in different cities. Reports were given by Minister of Strategic Industries Kamishyn and the relevant deputy head of the Office on Regional Policy Kuleba.

Unfortunately, there is still significant unpreparedness for shelters in various cities across Ukraine. After all this time. The state will not tolerate such inactivity. And this — is the responsibility of local leaders. Resources for shelter construction at the local level are available.

One more thing.

There is exactly one week until the key day of the NATO summit in Vilnius. And thus, a week until a crucial moment for our common security in Europe. We work maximally with partners to ensure that our common security prevails at Vilnius. Everything depends on our partners.

Glory to all Ukrainian heroes! Glory to every one of our combat brigades, all units of our defense and security forces!

Glory to Ukraine!"
