The head coach of the German national team, Hans-Dieter Flick, commented on the course of events in a friendly match against Ukraine, which ended in a draw — 3:3.

"The game demonstrated the current state of our team. We started well, scored an early goal, felt the support of the fans, and then made individual mistakes that led to goals in our own net. There is a lot of work ahead for us, and we know this is a long process. It's important that against a strong opponent, we showed character. We created opportunities but failed to convert them," — noted Flick.
