To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06.00 on May 27, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred fifty-eighth day of large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, the enemy carried out 20 missile strikes. On populated areas in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions — using 10 air-launched cruise missiles X-101/X-555 (neutralized by our defenders). On Dnipro, the enemy struck with a missile twice. First, used seven missiles from S-300/S-400. The second time — attacked a medical facility using "Iskander". Also, two Russian air defense guided missiles hit the city of Avdiivka. Additionally, the enemy carried out 68 aviation strikes, including targeting Iranian combat drones Shahed in the cities of Merefa and Izium in Kharkiv region, as well as using guided aerial bombs on the city of Avdiivka and village New York. At the same time, it conducted nearly 89 artillery shelling with multiple rocket launchers against our troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilian population; a medical facility in Dnipro, educational institutions in Izium and New York, multi-apartment residential buildings and private homes were damaged.

The likelihood of missile and aviation strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariupol directions. In total, during the past day, 25 combat engagements took place in these sectors of the front.

On Volyn and Polissya Directions, the operational situation — no significant changes.

On Northern and Slobozhansky Directions, the enemy carried out aviation strikes on areas of Strelche, Zemlyanka in Kharkiv region, conducted mortar and artillery shelling of populated areas Senkivka, Sosnovka, Zaliznyy Most in Chernihiv region; Savarkove, Boyaro-Lyachiy, Staroye Vyrky, Pavlivka, Volvynne, Basyvka, Zapyslya, Miropole, Velyka Pysaryvka in Sumy region, as well as Odnorobivka, Kozacha Lopan', Strelche, Hlybokye, Neskuhne, Zelenoye, Terneva, Staritsa, Gatyshche, Volchanskyi, Karaiychne, Mala Volcha, Budarky and Vilkhuvatka in Kharkiv region.

On Kupyansk Direction, the enemy does not cease attempts to improve tactical position. Carried out aviation strikes near Kislivka, Kotlyarivka, Tabayivka, and Raygorodok in Kharkiv region. Conducted unsuccessful offensive actions around Masutyvka. Artillery and mortar shelling affected Kolodyazhne, Dvorichna, Masutyvka, Kislivka, Kamyanka in Kharkiv region and Stehlmahyvka — Luhansk.

On Lyman Direction, during the day the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions around Bilohorivka. There was also an aviation strike there. Artillery shelling affected Nevsko, Dybrova, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Verkhnyokamianske and Spirene on Donets.

On Bakhmut Direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards Predtekinoye. Conducted aviation strikes around Hryhorivka and White Hill. From enemy shelling, Vasylkivka, Pryvillya, Orhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Kalyinivka, Chasyev Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochki, Predtekinoye, Kostenkyne, White Hill and Pivnichnoye in Donetsk region suffered.

On Avdiivka Direction, the enemy carried out offensive actions towards Perevalskiy, with no success. Conducted aviation strikes on Avdiyivka and Perevalskiy, carried out artillery shelling of populated areas Avdiyivka, Perevalskiy, Karlivka and Nevelskoye in Donetsk region.

On Mariupol Direction, units of the Defense Forces repelled numerous attacks by the enemy around the city of Mariinka. At the same time, also suffered from enemy shelling Georgiyivka and Pobeda in Donetsk region.

On Shakhtarsk Direction, the enemy carried out aviation strikes around Vuhledar, Prechystyvky and Velika Novosilka, conducted shelling of populated areas Paraskeviivka, Vuhledar and Prechystyvky.

On Zaporizhzhya and Kherson Directions, the enemy is defending. Carried out aviation strikes around Stepovoye in Zaporizhzhya region and Zamivka on Kherson territory. Shelled populated areas Vremyvka and Novosilka in Donetsk region; Olhyvske, Hulyaypole, Zaliznyche, Bihor'ya, Mala Tokmachka, Maliy Shcherbaky and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhya region; Zolota Balka, Veselo, Kozatske, Lvovoye, Antonivka, Kizomys, Stanislav in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

In Russian occupation forces, cases of non-compliance with orders by commanders and desertion are becoming more frequent. Thus, on May 25, about 20 former detainees who recently completed accelerated training and arrived to reinforce a unit deployed in the area of ​​the populated place of Svatove stole a KamAZ truck and fled in an unknown direction. As of now, their whereabouts is not established; searches are ongoing.

The Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out 11 strikes during the past day on areas of enemy personnel concentration and military equipment. Also, five enemy reconnaissance UAVs of type "Orlan-10" and two — of type Zala were destroyed.

Units of rocket forces and artillery inflicted damage to three command points, three areas of weapon and military equipment concentration, two ammunition depots, two artillery units on firing positions, one air defense system and another two important targets of the enemy.

Overall, during the past day our defenders liquidated 480 Russian occupiers, destroyed three tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, 22 artillery systems, two MLRS, one air defense system, 31 tactical-level UAVs, ten cruise missiles, eleven cars and three units of special equipment.
